Hey guys,

i will upgrade my engine to ITb´s with airbox.
so my plan is to drive with MAF. the Restriction in this system seems to me the stock m52b28 MAF.
i like to fit one with bigger diameter.

i search a Lot which MAF i can use and i think the 806 from the M3 shoud be perfect.
so i read Just copy the MAF maps from the Alpina and its done.

Can anyone Confirm that?

also 3 questions

which Alpina maps are the right?
whats about the axis in fuel and ignition tables? can these untouchable?

i only want the benefite from the bigger diameter = Less restricion = more air

thank you!

So I think nobody have the answer..

I will test it by myself

First thing I will do is to connect the 806 maf like the original and log, so I see what's going on and will it work correctly.

Next I flash the Alpina maf scale with costum x/y axis for fuel and ignition and hope that work too.

i attached a pic with all the maf informations (m52 on the left and S50b32 on the right)
as i can see the maf input ground is already bridged with the output maf ground

the only difference i can see are the different position of the signal and ground pins

i also attached the pic found of the web of a turner cable adaptor sold for 803 maf wich is just a bridge with 2 wires bridged inside in the middle (you can see the soldered wires)
Image

i'm still confused

Thanks for that information! The maf work with these Pinout.

I use the Alpina Mafscaling but i think that the Reading´s bit to high.

how much load should i expect?

main specs:
m52b30
cams 262/256
itb´s

my stock b28 maf maxed out at 5500 rpm with m50 mainfold.

so how did you pin it?
pin 1 -> 1
pin 2 -> 4
pin 3 -> 3
pin 4 -> 2

did you put the resistor??

as i read on a dinan forum wich sells the big maf kit with the 806 maf that only you need to repin it without any resistor

So I maxed out the alpina maf scale.

I see in the maf spreadsheet I can use the m3 one.

Only change the maf scale and rpm/load axis?
And tune with afr?
