Recently I've been noticing my Waste Gate Duty in my logs is regularly over what I have mapped in RomRaider. From what I understand this is not supposed to possible. Is the def I have wrong (the one that comes with RomRaider as of now?). Thanks

It also uses the compensation maps to achieve your target boost levels. Think of it as Base Timing + KC. Only for boost.

Check the WG duty compensation tables.. They may be raising it a bit. Is it significantly higher than what you've got in your max wg duty table?

I figured there was compensation tables, but when inquiring, I was told that they are only used to lower WGD (maybe I missunderstood)?

Weird part is my WGD matches what the old RomRaider says!

I took a look at compensation tables, but they don't seem to make any sense to me? Can someone elaborate?

For instance. The attached map. 68F - 86F means 50 (but 50 what? 50% increase in WGD?)

Ok, that makes it sound like the definition file IS the problem. Your car is an 04, right?

What this means is that the wastegate is allowed an additional X% to achieve target boost if target boost is not achieved with the BASE values. All of these compensation maps co-mingle with eachother to achieve your boost.

That map is not consistent with the maps I've seen.

The compensation removes duty cycle <= 50 degrees and leave the duty cycle alone above there- at least with the stock values.

Could be, don't change any other settings and set the values at 68F and 86F to 0 and see what happens. Then try 100 and see. Experimentation is key to tuning and discovery.
