I'm going "Stage 2" as it's called. I have successfully reflashed my ECU just turning off some DTC's because I deleted the Air Pump and I am going catless. My 2006 WRX is completely stock but I would like to install my 3 inch catless TBE and up-pipe. I am wondering if someone has a good tune that I could reference off of or even use as a base tune to work off of. I am a certified Technician and have experience tuning motorcycles with Power Commander on a dyno and the street, also building antique gas NA pulling tractors. I am new to the turbo game, but I assure you I will learn a lot very quickly. I would be more than willing to give any feedback on any tunes that I try running on my 06 WRX. Also any good info or tips are greatly appreciated. My email is stimpson.matt@ yahoo.com

gabedudes is stage 1..

i have run both with no issues on my EDM 06. im currently running a mash up of gabes stage 1 and bullwinkles stage 2 (the stage 2 for full TBE as tried CBE and TBE versions and both worked ok). im peaking about 1.3 bar of boost and seems to have the best of both because gabedudes stage 1 was really punchy but didnt peak as high or hold quite as long as bullwinkles stage 2. i think my next port of call is going to be try the AUDM XPT stage 2 tune someone posted and see how it compares/if theres any knock/etc and then if theres areas which are better than my current mash up i will roll the better stuff from the XPT rom into my own. also may do the same with the AUDM "tuned by STi" rom as well. once im happy with everything boost/timing map wise ill start leaning out AFR's a bit as im running in the low to mid 10's currently.

use this at your own risk as i can only confirm its working fine on my EDM 06 WRX in UK/ireland temperatures for this time of year. also FWIW im running the tune on UK 95 octane which should be the equivalent of US 91 i think.

my current mods are in my sig though i did not notice any major change in AFR after installing the intake while i was still on the stock tune so my MAF scaling is still stock. i did tweak the IAT compensation table though, you may or may not want to set that back to all 0's. you will need to copy the modified tables into your stock rom.

Thanks for sharing your tune, I'll most likely just referance off it. I haven't had much time time to play around with my tune yet, as I am moving soon. I have just been running XPT's stage 2 tune and it runs very smooth with good power. It seems a little rich still, but I want to try a new 02 sensor and see if they agree. Also I run 93 octane, it's very interesting that you said that you think UK 95 would be the same as 91 in the US. I have no idea about this, but I'm going to look into it when I have time.

is it the XPT stage 2 that was posted up here? if so it is fairly smooth but IMO it sucks massively in comparison with much less peak boost/torque. i tried the XPT stage 2 yesterday evening in the hopes it would have been a little better than the tune i was running but seems nowhere near it unless theres a marginal difference one way or the other after peak TQ but tbh i dont even think theres anything i can really borrow from it to add to mine.

The XPT Stage 2 tune that I am running, I got directly from XPT. I don't know about any XPT tune that people have shared. I would never share a purchased tune like that. I'm glad I was able to get a professional base tune right away for my car once I installed my exhaust, so I'll support them a little. I do think that people sharing their own personal tunes is awesome and a great way for us all to learn more. I'm very curious about your tune now, I still haven't had the time to check it out, but I will soon. The XPT in my car, Boost peaks at 16.9psi and it holds 15.9-16.1psi fairly well. I actually blew my y-pipe off of the intercooler the other day, made sure the clamps are all very tight now. I plan on getting a new y-pipe and better clamps soon.
