That is normal. lV just defines the car based on first time the ECU is seen. So it is normal

It is knocking heavily with the IAM drop

RomRaider has a DTC/CEL reader now. Use that

I've just started to data log, and I'm running into issues getting this program to run. I've searched thru about as much as I can of the threads, but can't find what I am looking for...

I have a 2012 Forester 2.5i 5MT, tactrix 2.0, am able to data log with RR, but cannot get learning view to run. My tactrix does not show up as a COM port, but a passthru device. So even on RR a COM port is not selected, but it still works to log. LV does not display a COM port, but says my ECU is not supported.

Your ECU is not supported by Learning View

It should work in RomRaider Logger version of LV though

I'm trying to use Learning View on Windows 8.1. I get an empty "port" field, and thus can't connect to the car:

Any ideas? I don't actually have a Windows 7 system I can use (it used to work when I had Windows 7 installed on this laptop).
