I did some logging and used the program and it came up with very little adjustments....should I do it again with the load you recommended? or are they the same?

I just wanted to say that this is the best tool I have used on here to date!!! I was working on building an SD map for a highly modded 05 STI running an AccessPort. I had the tune dialed in on the MAF so I logged MAP, RPM and MAF est VE then used Log Stats tab to completely extrapolate my VE map. It was almost perfect right off the bat! This thing rocks :twisted: :mrgreen:

Bugs? I use RomRaider logging.

1. In the Open Loop tab, I can load a saved MAF Scaling. However, in the Closed Loop tab, loading the same file comes out with "Invalid Saved Data File"

2. In the MAF IAT Comp tab, A RR log doesn't have the Commanded AFR parameter. The error "Commanded AFR column must be specified if Primary Open Loop table is not set" comes out. Where do I set POL Fueling this on this tab? I do have it set in the Open Loop and Closed Loop tabs.

No, based on your questions.

1. From the error you posted - you're not loading log file, you're trying to load saved run data (MAF scaling table and 12 tables Eng/MAF/AFR run tables) from Open Loop into Closed Loop. Data for OL and CL is different. From "Usage" tab - If you have saved data from previous run and would like to see the graphs or modify some data manually you can load that run using "Load" button.

2. ATM, MAF IAT Comp requires Commanded AFR. I might add interpolation from POL later. Or you could ask Td-d to pull a memory address for Commanded AFR for OP2 logging.

Commanded AFR is from OL Fueling table. That parameter is the Primary open loop map enrichment correct?

Yes, it can be interpolated from POL - Primary Open Loop Fueling table - based on load and rpm and min wot enrichment

Correction, Final fuel base is the same as commanded Afr :-)

I think it's actually the primary open loop enrichment that you're looking for - if the parameter that is being sought is the AFR that is 'commanded' from the primary open loop fueling table.

When does one use the final fuel base? This parameter has all compensations added and at times I see this go down as rich as 9.5 and I cant justify it haha

@Td-d - thank you.
The Commanded AFR is pretty much just interpolated value from Primary Open Loop Fueling table. I couldn't find what exactly goes into calculating FFB but looks like it's not the same as Commanded Afr

@2bfi @MFB

guys, I added commanded afr interpolation from POL Fueling table. Please let me know if you have any issues.

I also added AFR compensation for LTFT for OpenLoop - see the Usage tab for the new calcs (i calculate trims so it has STFT as well but it will be 0 for OL).

@vgi

This is what I dug out for final fueling base as per Merchgod

http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5434&start=15

Quote:
final fueling base does not include "a/f correction" or "a/f learning". It is the desired target, no more, no less. This is determined primarily by the primary ol fuel map with all compensations applied (including those for warm-up/afterstart enrich) + plus other unknown corrections. The primary ol fueling map and the other corrections work simply by determining how much more (or less) fuel than stoich they want to target. So, it might be:
1. primary ol fueling map after compensation (i.e. min throttle enrich, ect comp, min warm-up enrich, etc. ) = +10%
2. some unknown correction +0.5%
3. some unknown correction -1%
4. some unknown correction -0.5%

So, final fueling base is +9% in this example. If you choose the AFR units, then we estimate AFR (gas only) would be 13.49:1. So, your load calc (ultimately maf scaling for MAF or SD tables for SD) is only going to impact it if it impacts the primary ol fuel value or one or more of the unknown corrections.

Quote:
it will include your primary ol fuel map with all defined min/comp applied. It will include all the "warm-up" enrichment min. factors (some of these aren't defined for the later CAN models). And quite a few unknowns, most of which will not come into play. you want to also log "Primary Open Loop Map Enrichment (4-byte)*". Compare this to final fueling base when the car is fully warmed-up AND has been running for more than a few minutes. Any notable difference will be due to some unknown factor (assuming you are not logging a bunch of other parameters at the same time).

^ Exactly - so FFB is inclusive of all compensations, whereas open loop enrichment target is the value straight from the table. Just depends on what you're trying to calculate which parameter you need to use (e.g. comparing FFB to POLE will give you a clue as to which compensations may not yet be accounted for - for example the Tau compensations).

This is really cool, now you should write another program for us SD guys. Same thing but with the VE map instead of the MAF scaling and whatnot :)

The version I am using has VE calc for Romraider. Might be worth updating :wink:
