Hi Ziggyrama, first of all thanks for contributing your work to us here. I used it myself as a starting point with no issues. But recently I had problems with my solenoid so I switched to the Oled Profec boost controller. Now boost just seems unstable and not reaching target.

Any idea what might affect boost in the map when using an external boost controller? My requested torque is 350 and throttle at 100% during WOT, but still boost is being weird. Here's the link to my log. The car is an Automatic by the way.

Hey Magnet, not sure why but I totally missed your question. I guess I did not see the email notification on your post. Are you still seeing issues with your solenoid?

I'm Goin to try your rom on my 14 usdm sti. Been lurking for awhile and reading alot. Just to be sure I just transfer all the tables from your rom to my rom?

There doesn't seem to be anyone else on here with a 14 sti, everything should be the same between our ecu?

Yes, the cars are basically the same. Do a diff on the tables and copy the values over to your ROM.

Was transferring tables, anyone tell me why when you try to copy and paste some tables i get all zero values? also noticed differences is some of the tables as in having more rows or columns than my stock ecu flash. Should i tranfer just the existing table or if i should add rows or columns to the stock table to match your tune. Sorry for the noob questions just trying to learn all i can about the software.

thanks!

whenever I'm transferring tables like that into bigger or smaller variants I try and find as many common headers as possible to copy straight in so try and match engine load and RPM points, then when your done fill in the blanks.

sometimes it helps visually to set all your values to 0 then copy in from the new table - when you've run out of stuff to copy then look at using horizontal/vertical interpolation to help you fill in the blanks if its just one column or one row that needs smoothed in.

Hey Zig, flashed your rev80 to my 08 STi and love it. Running Tomei UEL headers / uppipe, Invidia CL Downpipe and Q300 exhaust, Injen CAI. Driveability is great and power is phenominal, however i am overboosting with the stock BCS hitting 23ish psi on initial load. Once i saw that i backed off immediatley not to blow the piss out of my motor. In your opinion should invest in an aftermarket solenoid or increase wastegate dc to try and adjust it out?

Thanks!

if your overboosting then you need to reduce WGDC or tinker with the turbo dynamics tables. The duty is too high so you make too much boost.

It would be good if you had a log. This way we can assess how badly you're overboosting. How did you take your reading? Was it a boost gauge? FYI, boost gauge can read higher than what the actual pressure is in the manifold. Remember, most folks tie into the BPV line which is pre throttle body. The ECU reads pressure in the manifold, which will be lower in max boost situations due to the fact that there is some pressure drop after the throttle body. This is why a log would show us how badly you really overboosted and if it was temporary. Spiking momentarily above target is not the end of the world assuming the ECU reigns it in quickly.

I spent a little time last night porting the tables over to my 2010 STi. I left the wastegate duty cycle tables at the lower values you're using for your Tactrix BCS, and kept my re-scaled MAF table for my intake. The 2010 ECU defs don't have the per-gear timing compensation (yet -- I want to help resolve that) so I didn't copy those over.

Like the previous comment, I'm also getting 2-3 PSI of boost above target (log attached). On the plus side, no knock under heavy load (unless I'm looking at the wrong things).

Ambient: 35 degrees F
Mods: Cobb SF intake with airbox, Harman Motive catted downpipe, Magnaflow catback
Stock: BCS

The log was a quick rip in 2nd gear -- I haven't done a pull in 3rd to redline with the map, but saw the same overboosting behavior in the brief partial pulls I did dare. I'm new to this, so apologies if the log isn't as useful as it could be ;)

Hey lynx, similar issue with me using the stock BCS. Slapped a grimmspeed BCS on and utilizing zigs latest flash its working phenomenally. If you wanna run the stock bcs the wastegate tables will need to be edited. another member posted on this thread the dty he was using, tried that and it was a safe setup. i just wanted the better control that the grimmspeed gave so i could mimic zigs setup better. im in the process of logging to send him some data using fuel from the pacific nw. You can try those tables i attached for my 08 and see if the difference helps.

Thanks, legendracer. I was going to update the table to aim for somewhere between the stock WGDC (where I was hitting ~17psi) and Ziggy's values. Looks like yours are right in that range. That'll at least give me another data point.

Why is it that when I open this ROM, the ROM info says it's for a 2008 Impreza 2.5i with Automatic transmission?

i got that at first as well, it's because the definition is in the wrong folder - go into your ecuflash\subaru\rommetadata\subaru\impreza2.5i folder and delete the incorrect definition (AE5I910V)

I downloaded your map, very nice, congratulations, what changes should I make to make it fit my 09 sti hatchback EDM with the same hardware as you?

just copy the changes across to your EDM map and then log it.
