A/F recording for Ecotron ALM wideband

After using Innovate's controllers for 10 years I started using the ALM controller from Ecotron which uses the 4.9 sensor. The output seems to be a bit smoother/faster signal. Now the problem, the ALM GUI is not that great for logging and the fact there are no inputs for any sensors into the unit.
Since I am re-tuning the 2006 WRX this week, I would like to be able to send the serial signal into RomRaider logger like I did with the Innovate LC-1. The serial protocol is listed here- http://www.ecotrons.com/files/ALM%20%20Communication%20Protocol%20-%20SCI.pdf.
Can this be added to RomRaider much like the AEM and Innovate are?

There appears to be enough information present to create a plugin for RR Logger to acquire data from the WBO2 controller.
I can't give you a time line on adding support for it as I'm working on adding BMW logging right now. It will be after that unless someone else works on it and submits the plugin.

Thank you very much! Not knowing yesterday what would happen with this I ordered a 2 channel Phidget USB device that I saw from another post to try, but I didn't realize Phidget was in Canada. I'm a little stuck at this point anyway if it takes 2 weeks to ship to US.

I got my phidgets stuff pretty quickly. I believe that there default shipping is like 2 day shipping. So you should be good. I can attest that the phidgets interface on rr is pretty easy to use as well.

Thanks guys. I paid for ground so I assume with the weather like it is it will be here on the later side. Adding the protocol to RR logger will be my favorite option anyway thanks to dschultz.

Can you confirm the serial data rate and character format?
I'm assuming 115200 8-n-1.

I'll provide you some code to activate the serial connection and record some data for me. With that I'll have a better idea of the start/read/stop process needed for the Logger.
I'll contact you when I have that ready.

Thank you very much for adding this! Would a serial capture txt file from Realterm or other serial program of the ALM unit be of any help?
