Hey, For my daily driver I have been using the 02 sensor for watching the EGT and on the next project I want to go little bit more in depth and learn more. Im in the process now of building up and EJ255 for a GC8 and was wondering what would be the best bet for 4 Channel EGT to log with. Ive looked into the Innovative 4 channel, but just wanted to hear other peoples opinions, thoughts, and romraiders capability to log them.

I have no experience in using aftermarket EGT sensors.

My advice is around engine ecu's.
I would recommend to use the ecu capable for per cylinder mixture and inginition corrections.
Multichannel EGT sensor will give you a great chance to tune those corrections in accordance with your mechanical setup.

Thank you. Yeah i wanna try and tune the cylinder corrections using the EGT. The computer has one port for EGT but thats in the uppipe. I wanna get as close as possible to the actual port itself. I think it would be cool later down the line with aftermarket ECU like the ViPec controlling fuel by the EGT. I wanna run little under stoich until EGT start rising then increase the fuel to decrease EGT. And I believe the ViPec has the capability for that. But thats down the road when I get some money lol.

That's also something that can be worked into merpmod and run on your OEM ecu... If you can find enough inputs.

I didn't know that could be done. Ill have to look around to see what they have for it. I could probably use the OEM EGT input sensor for one cylinder. I also did delete the TGV which would provide 2 more inputs. Ill have to also look through the ECU pins diagram and see what else I can mess with or eliminate. Thank you for the idea.
