When I start Romraider it says the cars_def files aren't there. I have reinstalled them twice to no avail. regardless, I can say no to the internet update. It gives me a fault saying that the car def is not present and I will not be able to dyno.
I suggest that you follow that link to the Internet post and read the instructions about the cars_def and where you should store it. This will eliminate the warning message.

Now when I connect to the ECU I get a whole different list of parameters than what I had before connecting. The connected list is very limited.
The parameter list displayed when you start the logger is a generic list of all known parameters, once the Logger connects to the ECU the ECU reports back which parameters it can support, therefore everything unsupported is removed from the list.

The bottom of the screen lists my ECU ID as 2F1A357106 which doesn't seem to follow the standard ECU labeling. Thoughts?
This is the ECU ID as reported by your car's ECU to the Logger. It might be an early revision of the ROM for this ECU,
viewtopic.php?t=9053 I'll check later.

My specific ECU is not supported yet by Romraider yet is by Tactrix. Do I need to download a copy of the ECU for defining the definitions file?
If the ECU can be upgraded to a supported version then that's the best option, otherwise you need to post the ROM you downloaded with EcuFlash so a definition can be created.
