I mentioned before (in the now locked New site is live! thread) that I often have issues getting logged out.

I notice it seems to happen most frequently when I open up a few topics too quickly. For example, I'll bring up the list of new threads, then open each one in a new tab in Firefox using the middle mouse button.

Unfortunately, can't always reproduce it.

Jared, are you able to see any errors in the server logs related to phpBB?

Anyone else have this happen? It's a PITA because when I log back in I lose my "show new posts" indicator, it all gets reset.

I haven't had any problems like this or heard of anyone else.. I really don't have a clue. I'll try to take a look at the logs tomorrow and see if I can figure anything out. Have you tried deleting your cookie?

I'll delete all my RomRaider.org cookies next time it happens.

Just happened again. Seems to only happen when I'm at work. I've cleared my cookies and see if it does it again tomorrow.

Weird.. what browser are you using?

Firefox. We'll see if clearing my cookies helps. Weird that I never see this issue at home.

Cookies do some pretty wacky, unpredictable things. Hopefully that's it.

yeah i was occasionally having logging out issues as well. seems to be sparatic though so i have no clue.

Cookies aren't it.

The first thread I open I'm logged in. If I open another then I'm logged out and have to log in again.

And then after that you stay logged in?

Yep, it's fine after that. I'm going to test a bit more.

I've figured out what triggers it.

If I don't have the cookie RomRaider_forum_sid set, and I open 2 threads very quickly I get logged out.

If after I open the first thread I wait until it's done loading and then open the rest it works OK.

It's a race condition in setting the session id cookie, basically.
