Reason for doing this is that i noticed some "go,no go,go" in 2500-3000rpm when accelerating (semi)slowly, and im guessing its because of the avcs, it goes to 30 then to 10 and then back to 30. Dont have the right word for it in english, its not hesitation,
So i did a little reading about avcs tuning and decided to try this. This feels nice for a daily map, basically no knock. But im not reaching target boost(i also dont have boost gauge), manifold relative pressure(sealevel) is 1.10 ? throttlehappy wrote: Attached is my 'public' 06 DBW table for all contributors. It is 'a guide to tuning DBW my way' but will need some fine tuning and experimentation by those who wish to follow the ECU logic behind this style of DBW tune. WOT at roughly 0.6 bar, limits WOT before 2800rpm to stop airflow stall and then the completely regraphed WGDC tables which give more tuning resolution. The important tables are the 3 DBW tables, the target boost table and both WGDC tables. Experiment with the acc pedal X axis scaling to suit your driving style I might want to try these out. How does this ROM look? EDIT You probably made that for Sti turbo setup? I would love to have steady boost as long as i can, even if its lower

Im having problems hitting boost targets? Ive changed restrictor pill from 0.8mm to 0.6mm. Gona put 0.8mm back and adjust wastegate arm. EDIT. Did not help(only gave it half turn). The map is requesting 1.16bar? Am i correct? And im gettin just above 1 if im lucky.
Checked some old Patricks log from page 3 or 4? And he had atleast 0.9bar from 3200 to 5050rpm. I can hold it above 0.9bar from 3600 to 4700rpm
i might try taking the pressure line of from solenoid and check boost..
Now im running patricks ultimate based map.

Any help? I tried taking off the pressure hose from solenoid, and it did help the boost to hit 1.108bar(i forgot to start log file ). Think i should have taken the hose off from WG, not from the solenoid as it still gets some pressure to WG like that? I also checked Iner´s log files and he too seems to keep 0.9 boost for almost 2000rpm, and i have it for 1000rpm.

You're making great progress! The uncomfortable fact is that the stock td04 turbo is tiny, really tiny, and you won't be able to get the kind of boost you (or the map) wants. However, it's a great turbo to start your tuning career - should be next to impossible to blow your engine with this turbo. Play around with this setup a bit, and once you realize and accept the dark side of tuning (see my signature, and this is my daily driver) there will be no turning back... May the logs be in your favor, as a mate here says.

Yes i know its small, but it should spool up faster, i mean im only getting 0.4bar @3200rpm in 2nd gear(4eat). Tomorrow ill try to take of the hose from WG and see how that effects...and i hope it does

So there must be sonething wrong with the Bcs. Will try that again and remember to log this time Edit. I think i have a bad turbo or a boost leak. I only got 1.04bar when i removed the hose from WG. I should get a LOT more when wastegate is not in use, right? F#ck, i hope its not the turbo(just yet)

I did a boost leak test with my home-made tester, and the plastic Y-pipe under the IC was leaking from turbo inlet because someone had put wrong hoseclamp(?) to it. Now i think its only a matter of time before it starts leaking again. So ill find a silicone hose kit for it or make one.
And does the wastegate compensation(iat) reduce boost in cold weather?

Hello Fossymates, after reading the complete thread i finaly decided to buy an tactrix 2.0. Thanks for all the work and shared informations. As a beginner i still got some questions.... I'd like to try patrics stage 1 map after logging my stock map and wanted to know if it ist faily safe to use? ( i know that no one can garantuee anything). All subarumates i have arround said another map wont fit my car... and wont be good. But the complete opposite ist what i read in this thread, many people seem to be pleased by patrics maps. my Fossy xt (06 modell 4 gear automatic) is nearly stock besides a wallpro 255, silicon y-pipe aund a prodrive axleback. location germany one more question what is the normal boost on the car? i bought it used and it only had arround 0,35 bar, because the ristirictor pille was missing.. now i have a new ristrictor pille but my hoses arent original . at the moment i hit 0,8 bar hold in 4 "gear" 2 and 3 "gear" hit 0,9 bar und drop dow to like 0,6-0,7 bar. would be cool if someone could answer. greetings kay

hey guys thanks for the maps and informations which are shared here . I just bought an tactrix open port 2.0 and i am looking forward to test ure maps. First of all i got a question about your logs. Can i use the orignial o2 sensor to log or do you guys all use a wideband for the A/F ratio? Sry for beeing a noob^^ iam reading a lot at the moment in the forums... greetings salamy -------------------------------------- Tryed patric ultimate map on my forester: 98roz, 400m above sealevel, 30 Celsius und very try today pulls really good and feels good. But my LV doesnt look that good with it. I will try and decrese the timings.. and hope that will solve the problems. ------------------------ So i tryed a new map with less agressiv timings and still the same LV .

I did some more work on the timings Only did 20km with it and it seams to be fine. No Knock at WOT. Just a littel finelearning und knockfeed at low rpms 1500-2300. Have to figure that out...

Well, I've run into a little snag. Patrick recommended that I copy his map and adjust the timing a bit. I've been looking around to see if I can find something a little more decent before I get too deep into this, but could never find anything that seemed to work. Since I've installed a GrimmSpeed Up-pipe, Cross-pipe, and Down-Pipe over the last weekend, I've been trying to drive without getting into boost, but it is getting really aggravating, really fast. So, I'm reaching out to see if you guys can help me come up with something a bit better? I tried looking at Patrick's stage 1 & 2 map, as well as a version that has been adjusted for a MY05 USDM FXT 4EAT, but the problem is that the x/y values aren't equivalent on many of the parameters. In theory, I presume that I could just make a linear graph of either Patrick's map or the USDM one and then just ratio-match the values, but I don't know enough about this to be certain that it will translate across the same way. Boost tables and the like can copy straight across, but it looks like other things (timing, WGDC, etc) have different parameters than my stock map. I don't know how to change those for the map, and have included a screenshot of my stock values, as well as the other two (in this case, it's looking at the WGDC) so you can better understand what I'm referring to. I've also included my stock map so you can take a peep and see what it's like. Any help would be appreciated! I really don't get a lot of this, haha...

Hey Patrick, Would would be a good way to translate some of your work to EJ205?
P.S. That knock in low RPM range is something I have had issue with as well.
