That's the advantage to BMW using the same software worldwide. They have to make configuration switches for various emissions equipment.
Hmm, I haven't yet found a way to do it this way in the MS41 code. It was simpler (from an ECU analysis POV) to just kind of brute force it a bit. Maybe things weren't as standardized internal to BMW back then?
