Hi guys im looking at doing some dyno time on my m54b30 e46 so i can start tuning with some basic mods, now the tuning part is covered but i cannot find a good logger and as the ms43 cannot be live tuned a good logger is most important, now I have used romraider before tuning evos and thats why im here but I cannot seem to make a connection from laptop to ecu and i have the latest definition file. I've searched high and low and cant find any solid info on logging ms43 in romraider.
so my question is:
what is the connection procedure?
do I need a special cable/obd connector?
your help will be much appreciated and I"ll be happy to post some results and graphs and progress as it comes.

You've selected the DS2 logging protocol?

it was one i got from someone so for me it was free, I put my original back on now.
so what I've been doing is: open rom editor, through there I launch rom logger, setup destination folder for logs, select logger definition, checked the correct com port and try and connect but nothing happens.
I do get a message when I open logger that no cars definitions have been found but when I do a search for cars definitions theres no bmw's in the list, so im not sure if its essential for it to work.
