Hello all,

(First post so be gentle!)
I have been having many problems with a 2011 diesel forester (Euro5, MT, UK) that Subaru main dealers are failing to rectify. Sounds like the injectors have gone out of calibration but all the garages do is run an injector re-cal that only lasts for about 450 miles before the loud banging/clanking returns.

I decided to take the plunge and I purchased a Tactrix cable to allow me to use RomRaider to try to understand what the underlying problem could be that keeps throwing the injector calibration out. I have no intention of tuning or any modifications, I purely wish to log data to understand where the issues might be. Got to say that the RomRaider software is fantastic.

After logging a few parameters I think I may have discovered some potential culprits but I cant seem to find acceptable or normal parameter values anywhere. Is there a master list of acceptable parameter values anywhere?

Can anyone offer advice on the following specific parameters please:

"Pressure Difference between Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Inlet and Outlet (psi)":
Reaches peaks of 360 at high revs and WOT and varies between 50 at idle and 100 to 250 under normal (steady) driving. Surely this very high?

"Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration Count (Times)"
This is showing 65535 all the time. I know a DPF regen has occurred whilst logging (and the "DPF regen (on/off)" toggled from 0 to 1 but the count did not increment. I am guessing the counter has maxed out? Is there any way to reset the counter? Why has it tried to do so many regens?

"Running Distance since last Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration (miles)"
This is showing 40722. Which is nearly the actual total mileage that the vehicle has done. Does that mean it has never completed a good DPF regen (despite the 65635 tries)?

Sorry for the long first post and any comments gratefully received.
Kind regards,
