I have been running Jon's updates from his excel sheet for about a week now. Makes a huge difference. Drives much smoother and my tip-in is nearly perfect with out any further tweaks. I would suggest giving them a shot

Ill give em a try. Somethings been off a little since i switched to g/rev load axis, probably my timing but light loads felt a lil less smooth. Esprcially i clutch engament, its been chattery whuch in past meant its a little under torque. I pulled some 2k rpm timing out the other day cause i was getting a lot of knock light in 4th and fifth cruising. No more knock light but feels under powered. Just a degree or two seems to make a big difference
Tip ins actually been pretty good other wise. I been pleased with my brothers ebay denso 950s from km racing.

I scaled them to 950 per flow chart but had to drop my ve table globally, so they either flow higher in the mid range or my dw850s werent flowing like 850s

Played with ect tip in settings today. Car like to spit up a bit in the intake if i blip throttle while its warming up. Not a big deal since i normal feather the throttle or just let it warm up first but just something else to smooth out. At first i watched afr before it would "backfire" in the intake a little and it looked like it was rich, which made sense, i never tweaked it for the 950s. So I started by cutting values and the it got got worse so i changed it back. Then noticed that maybe afrs got lean instead. So not sure how to fix it. Its like the chicken and the egg. Just seems to odd that id have to increase fuel going from 440 to 950cc
And for whatever reason my bade fuel pressure is 46psi at idle so on a throttle blip its closer to 51

has anyone determined latency for modded dark blues? it's a new thing to me that I'm seeing an advertised flow rate, never looked into it before. with my modded light blues I had to increase latency a lot, I'm guessing the same would be needed for removing the diffuser on the dark blues.
If my flow increased by 59% and the dark blues being modified flow the same increase, would (new light blue latency/old light blue latency for each volt) * old dark blue latency be a rough starting point?
this would make 0.77ms @ 14v now equal 1.3ms as my latency went from 0.68ms to 1.16ms @ 14v
also curious to know if since low pulse width has been found and determined to be used for dark blues if you would multiply the ms axis values by the increase in injector flow difference? such as 0.300ms becomes 0.504ms given the flow difference.
is this thinking somewhat close to actual operating differences between stock and modified for increased flow?

File comment: stock latency, low ipw taken from late model ROM ECUflash def (thanks to td-d) and put into the larger carberry table.

I'm thinking your way high, i read a role of thumb somewhere to start with a 25% increase. I can look tonight at home, i dont think ive uploaded a rom since i went to the dark blues. I just tried to tweak the latency so i dint have to mess with my ve table too much. I want to say my 14v latency right now is 1.00, and my min pulse is about .50, and pulsing at idle around .6 with very few misses
keep in mind, my base fuel pressure is high and my VE table was built off my dw850 sidefeeds that had totally made up latencies. So my latencys are pretty much my tune specific

I'm switching back to map based timing. Me and load based just arent getting along. Too much fasle knock in low load areas, mileage is done and light throttle driveabilty is poor. Low timing in the lower load areas could explain driveability and mileage, but then why am i getting knock on e80 in those areas? I didnt have those issues on map based and it was easier for my to view since I'm speed density
now i just need to go back through my notes (this thread) and find out what map based rom i was happiest with and copy the timing map back in and combine it with the wot perks of the load based rom i been working on

Finally went to track Saturday. first ever pass in the car, no launch it did a 12.7 at 114. Second pass i used the fuel cut launch control, launched at 4500, around 7psi and got a 1.75 60ft, 12.09 @ 114mph. I need to call Southbend and talk about getting a stage 3 clutch. The stage 2 just aint holding anymore. Its been a great clutch but its only rated at 350 tq. I assume it takes more tq than that to put a forester in the 11's. You can see in the log too how the rpms go up and down after shifts in 3rd and 4th https://drive.google.com/open?id=0By3AANFPBu7PeWhWR2ZYMUNPMnM
