Hello, I own a 2005 european Legacy BP with a 3.0 EZ30 engine and 6speed manual transmission. I would like to know if it possible to tune it for E85. Ideally, I would like to add a GM ethanol sensor and the possibility to be flexfuel.(I think it is possible on some Impreza models) I never touched stock ECUs, only Megasquirt MS3 and microsquirts on LS1 V8s. Is there an article number to check on the ECU to check if it is possible to change the tune? What is needed to change the tune: openport 2.0, romraider software....?
Thanks in advance for your help. Guillaume

OK, I have purchased the Tactrix cable openport 2.0. The ECU is D2WD701C. I have found the xml files for romraider and ecuflash. When I open the file with romraider, I don't see an easy way using the existing software to go to flexfuel. What are the existing posssibilities? Anyone selling a soft with this feature?
What are the possibilities or first easy steps I could do for smaller improvements on the engine parameters. I'have a spare WB O2 Innovate LC2 home. Is it possible to replace one of the lambda sensor by this one for datalogging? Or is it necessary to weld an additionnal bung on the pipe? Thanks in advance Guillaume

This mod seems interesting. Is it possible to to use it on a 3.0? I did not completely understood what is involved by the mod and how to reprogram the new soft.

The relevant addresses would need to be defined, and a new patch generated - give Aijii a shout.
