It is proved by testing that some SH7055F may cause reflash failure at high temperature. Never heard this problem for low temperatures. Maybe nobody tried this.

Coolant temperature must be high enough, not sure what is the exact target but reflashing the car which stayed whole night outside at -3 C (~25 F) failed on the step of passing SID27 authorisation. Aah, yes. IIRC it's one of those some special response codes for SID 27, right ? did you get something like "7F 27 91" or some other NRC > 0x90 ? Maybe I should add those to nisprog. There's one for low battery voltage (0x92) too.

Coolant temperature must be high enough, not sure what is the exact target but reflashing the car which stayed whole night outside at -3 C (~25 F) failed on the step of passing SID27 authorisation. Small warm up to 55 C (~130 F) of coolant temperature allowed to do the reflash.
I also heard that for some Nissans it also fails this step if coolant temperature is too high (more than 60 C/ 140 F), but my particular ECU it's not the case, I did a reflash having 80 C/ 176 F engine temperature. I have reflashed in both warm and cold temperature on this sh7055f40. Coolant temp of 190 F, and after the car has been sitting at 24 F and have not experienced this issue. I have however recently bricked one, which I believe may be due to surpassing the flash write cycles(was reflashed approx 200 times.)

****** Hi, here's a new release with some minor fixes : 1.01_294bd563_20170209 Download links in the first post of this thread. [EDIT - distilled summary of changes since 1.00] Code: Bump freediag for help/usage improvements
-added "npconf kspeed" for the speed to use during initk -added "kspeed" command to send the new_speed command to the kernel, and update parameters if successful.
- npconf: check agains min/max limits for each parameter - new param : "kspeed" for kernel comms speed, instead of hardcoded 62500.
- For certain SIDs, display negative response code text description
- npk dump status string : don't display "remainingg" Fixes GH #3
- Fix #1 on GH : command 'flrom' can now be invoked from a startup file. freediag fixed upstream for this.
- add CLI command aliases : nc == npconn = connect nd == npdisc = disconnect
- implement "watch" command for when running a kernel
- add missing config param for eeprom_read() function address so now "dumpmem <file> <start> <len> [eep]" is easier to use

No git commit for this release, huh? It might be enough to replace the release notes

If you want this to be successful i suggest figuring out an easier solution to this. Even if you could PM a .exe file of the checksum would be fine. Otherwise dont expect people to be able to flash this easiliy..

Hey fenu, Thanks for you huge work. Yeah its true that for most of us its hard to compile ur apps. I've dowloaded MinGWgcc, Renesas GCC, TurboC++, C++ Builder. Read tutorials on compilation. But unfortunately, couldnt compile any of your app. (I can reproduce errors if you wish) Then i got upset and sat down and cried whole night (i keed). I know you a very busy. But, we need to understand the whole process then to make complete set of instructions on how to do everything. If you will help to do compilation for me it will be great. I can then write tutorial for everybody, not like Matt Riney did it ) Really interesting job u've done. ALSO in NDS2 forum, i ve read that there is undocumented mode available to download ROM. but not to upload. BTW i've got freashly installed Win7 x86 + CH340 cable with latest driver. Car is G35C 2004.5 5 AT. Regards! Sorry for my bad english.

Now you know why I directed you to simply compile the checksum program, when commenting like a spammer on my youtube video. Glad to see you made it over here and decided to learn something
