Im concerned about my VE map. I still cant wrap my head around the drastic decrese in VE from the lower compression, STi cams and the bigger BW turbo?

filled up today. 20°F outside, got a tank of e75 from the pump. cruising on down the highway and starting getting part throttle knock again like i did on e66. Really wish i had a dyno to finely iron out the ignition timing

terry, don't get hung up on the absolute values. those can be skewed by other global variables.

you mean like injector scaling? Im not so woried about it anymore. Im worried now about ignition timing. I guess im gonna have to rent some dyno time. The car just getting way to fast to street tune anymore. I went to pass someone this morning getting on the highway and after 4-5 seconds of throttle and one shift i looked down and was at 115mph. The engine feels like one little hiccup in the tune will cause a mushroom cloud

I built a mount to hold the laptop for logging and at the track.

I like the heat shrink idea for the tabs

learned something on accident today. A leaner pull results in flatter boost curve. I somehow copied over my VE tables from last year when i tried to copy over my old timing maps. So i ran a pull this morning to redline at 13:1 AFR. The car didnt seem to mind, i was on e75 but i noticed that the boost spiked at the usual 23psi, dropped to 22 and then back up to almost 23 by redline. Much flatter than normal. SO I'm changing my OL AFR target to be 12:1 at pk tq and 12.5 at redline

this mornings log

fixed and updated rom attached

I did a lot more logging yesterday after what i learned from the accidental flash it made me think about something Ive been over looking. My open loop AFR map. Im going back to basics and going to redo the VE map. Ive alwasy just kind of tweaked the ve map to reach an AFR i wanted but found out im making it hard on myself. Im going to pretty much go into the AFR map and change the hole map to 14.7 in low areas the 13:1 in mid boost and 12.5:1 at high boost and get rid of all the interpolating, for now. That will make it much easier to adjust teh VE maps to hit those values since it will be more consistent. Then once the VE map is fixed, then i can go in and try other afr's without having to mess with VE anymore

having some trouble with pk tq AFR ripple. The final fueling base is targeting 12:1 afr in that area which is much lower than my target. I heard it could be from a sudden load increase table

Installed a Walbro 450 last night after seeing fuel pressure continue to drop towards redline. Now i have plenty of fuel up top but too much down low, base pressure is at 60psi since i guess its overrunning hte stock regulator, and becasue of that and my af corrections are in the -teens. Time to get a aftermarket FPR and retune i guess

just ordered a 3 bar Omni. Lets see how she like 2 Bar's of boost!

new base rom for the sensor

adjusted MAP scale
checked the Carberry 3 bar omni fix
lowered mine map voltage to .10v
rescaled VE & Ign. Timing Tables
guessed at the 39 to 43.5psi VE areas

been a little while. been basically chasing a boost spike, I installed a Omni 3 bar and trying to run 28psi but it keeps spiking about 5-6psi so it getting over the fuel cut 44psi. The omni 3 bar only reads to 45

heres where i logged the Omni 3 bar sensor while doing a boost leak test

http://datazap.me/u/terryjr/3-bar-omni-limits?log=0&data=2-3-4-5-6-8&zoom=32-1470

I also started loggin wideband, afr sensor and afr sensor (mA) so that i could rescale the sensor to make my LC2 wideband thats right next to it in the down pipe. At stoich they match up perfect but they spread out, especially on the rich side. Heres the scaler I'm going to try.

And on a side note, whats the O2 smoothing table about exactly. Any benefit on enabling it?

not sure exactly how it changes fuel trim applications, but try it out.
when I had the closed loop sensor in the downpipe 6" post turbo I had 02 smoothing based on map turned off and played with the VSS threshold value, try 1266 instead of 733.
