Thanks for reply.
I need ews off because engine swap but its not the original ecu for this car.
I only change the one Bit from if I remember correct 12 (0000 1100 ) to 140 (1000 1100).
EWS delete works fine but A/C didn`t work. It only works if I bridge relais.

The control bits have also effect on the A/C. So if your car is e36, copy the control bits from some other e36 bin and then delete ews. Also if your car is e39, use control bits from e39 bin.

Good Idea,

I've updated the sheet to calculate the decimal value to be entered into Romraider, just flip the bits as needed and it will produce the decimal value.

It's not in the control bits for all non-MS41.2 ... it's in the adaptations variant settings (which get built using data from EWS coding).

MS41.2 is the only one that needs adaptations AND byte 5 edits if you are using a US auto M3 DME. Even on this DME, if you edit control bits correctly and don't do adaptations, you still get EGS errors.

if some1 could just edit my rom to be disabled ews I would be happy.

ecu is from e39 but on e36 now with the engine .

Did you verify your changes are flashing to the dme?

You didn't answer my question. Did you read back the dme to verify your changes applied?

ou sorry, didn't understand that point , but no I didn't read it back and I don't know if the changes applied.

used OpenMS41 flashtool.

but is there any values that must be right to work so I can try them after work and see if they applied to dme?

if I get this right, factory value was 7 ( 0000 0111) then correct ews deleted value must be 135 (1000 0111). am I right ?
