Forget everything i said above. i set the frequency to 200Hz and it is mint! runs perfectly. relay doesn't even get warm. i was seeing 10.3v at 75% duty cycle.

here is a video of it running in my car. the difference in pump noise is massive in person.
https://youtu.be/wpA4lcbFgLU

One strange thing though is after cranking and upon engine firing the pump pulses a few times. this is shown on the logger also. Im not worried as i don't think it will hurt the pump.

:D :D :D

Sambo88, thank you for your work. I have couple of questions, could you please answer them?

1. Your pump definitely is not stock. How do you think could this be done for stock pump? And how safe would it be?
2. What pressure did you get after modifying pump control and how much it differs from your orig pump pressure?

Thank you.

Its a bosch 044 style pump. I am also running the factory pump from the same relay. You can see 2 power cables from the relay. Ones for the big external and the other is to the factory pump. The factory pump will only draw the current it needs. Also they are pwm'd from factory via the factory fuel pump controller so pwm ing them will not hurt. This also ensures the factory pump doesnt over supply my surge tank. Lower the pressure = higher the flow rate.

Bare in mind there is not any point to this unless you have a large external pump that requires more amperage than the factory controller could ever supply. This allows for pwm control of any amperage your solid state relay supports.
My pressure gauge on my reg didnt change from its set point. The regulator will compensate for pressure change. (Aftermarket)

I am still running this flawlessly. So happy its working. No need for expensive add on controllers

imho it could come in handy even without a monster external/swirl pot setup.

lots of folks have witnessed the rail voltage sag quite substantially under 100% FPDC... and switched to a non-pwm on/off hardwired relay to combat it. many are in-tank aftermarket pumps (walbros and the like) that draw more current than oem pump but less than a monster.

Yup, that's correct. I'm implemented this, night and day in terms of boost control. And sounds so much better.

Well, as far as sound goes not sure I'll notice anything as I'm IWG. I was just curious really. But will let you know if i notice anything at all. I'm on a 3prt mac valve as well.

going to bump this again to see if anyones tuned with a Perrin EBCS Pro yet or other controllers using the MAC bullet valve. "typical" MAC 3 ports seem to have a 10-30hz range but the Bulet valve handles 0-1000 and reacts much faster.

i found a corksport valve with a broken plug for $50 id like to play with in interrupt mode
