I Tried the other key candidates , none worked so I have pulled the rom using the slow dump and posted it in the stock rom list . haven't yet figured out how to find the security keys in the rom

I'm having quite a bit of difficulty connecting with a VAG com cable (dumb, cheap blue cable form ebay) to my 2010 370z 6MT. It has pin 7 populated on the OBDII port. I was about to give up figuring the ECU did not use k line, but somehow I got it to connect once last night. Nisprog showed my ECU ID and I started dumping the rom in slow mode. I canceled it to try to use the kernel to dump faster but was not able to reconnect. I'm using a first gen Microsoft surface with Windows 10 and a Macbook pro running windows 7 in VMware. Has anyone found any tricks to aid in a successful connection? @fenugrec I donated $100 to the kernel project and I've been trying to get a dump for you to analyze.

I'm a little stuck now. Everything working perfect for me now up until the point I flash the rom to the ecu. Making a mistake somewhere and I can't find a solution.
I included a txt from my command prompt.

Just released: nisprog 1.02 ! See first post of this thread for download links. Release notes: Code: Minor release. I recommend updating npkern to the most recent version (at least 2017-06-17)
Changes: - Print plaintext strings for kernel error codes - Report kernel ID string on connection - added some keysets

Does anyone have a link to a precompiled checksum utility for Windows so I can attempt a reflash?
I saw it in the youtube video but not a link.
Alternatively is it built into nisprog already?
Much appreciated.

One of the things I do is use a system timer tool and set it to minimum, to get the best communication possible. Google "timertool."

Just wondering if anyone has found the tables for enabling/disabling individual DTC codes in a rom ie. v35/g35/350z rom.
Uprev supports this and it would be very handy - I would donate $ for this.
ie. I have another ecu which I've reflashed with my original rom but NATS won't allow car to start. If I brick the rom I'll have to tow the car, so disabling P1610, P1615, etc temporarily then re-enabling when all is good would be ideal.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? Nats and dtc disabling are two different animals.

Thoughts? DTC disabling is something I am currently testing, I do not think removing those codes from your ecu will solve your issue. It will merely prevent the code being stored & the check engine light from illuminating

It definitely won't work, I tried. It's like closing your eyes to avoid hit from the train that is running directly on you DTC it's just an indicator showing current ECU state. NATS check remains done and in case of unsuccessful handshake between ECU and IMMO there is no start is possible anyways.

Well then, what is uprev doing, because if it only reflashes the ecu and you can disable individual DTCs and car can then start, why can't we do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHhRoGsaDQghttp://uprev.com/secure/nats-disablingAre they reflashing the bcm, ecu, or both, or hobbling the ecu code that handles NATS DTC with their own rom. I'm in Australia so tracking down uprev is a little difficult, but with Mitsubishi EVO's you can enable/disable P* codes and it has the desired effect.
