Any insight? The wastegate flutter is killing me.

Coding needs to be added to 32bitbase.xml and the Merpmod xml your using

Post up the CAL id's you want defined, and I'll start digging out the addresses. I'll also add the map definition to the EcuFlash 32bitbase on my github branch, but in the meantime, here's the EcuFlash def xml code:
Code:
<scaling name="wastegate_solenoid" units="Hz" toexpr="250000/x" frexpr="250000/x" format="%.2f" min="0" max="255" inc="1" storagetype="uint16" endian="big"/>
   <table name="Wastegate Solenoid Pulse Frequency" category="Alpha - Wastegate" type="1D" level="1" scaling="wastegate_solenoid"/>
And this to CAL xml:
Code:
<table name="Wastegate Solenoid Pulse Frequency" address=""/>

Since this is going to get into the wild fairly quickly, what the hell ;) Address for AZ1G101M, AZ1G101N and AZ1G202G is 0xc009a. Try it - seems to be the location for quite a couple of roms. In the older roms, C026A crops up quite often (e.g. for Merp's original rom - A8DH202X).

Otherwise - post up your cal, and I'll pull it for you.

well... first log this morning on my control map went a little less than expected. I did 15.27hz and 25% Duty Cyle. Its spike to about 23 a dropped quickly to 20. At 0% DC it normally ran 19ish psi with old plumbing. I edited the rom to try again at lunch. I went to 40% past 5000rpm. If boost stays at 20 then i suspect my wiring is damaged. The ebcs i got had a broken plug that i tried to solder back together. up until install it had continuity. I have a new solenoid in the mail just incase. If 40% does raise boost then im going to start raising the Hz before adding more duty cycle.

log from this morning

Youre amazing. I just use some kind of xml editor to change the def? Or can it be done in notepad?

40% yeild very little results. Going to try 70% then calling the valve bad and will wait for new solenoid to arrive

Notepad is a mess.....

Your best bet is to either use an xml editor, alternatively; you can create a new map in ecuflash and input the details for the 32bitbase & specific rom file details into the field boxes, along with creating a new scaling parameter.

Wordpad is an option, but you can run into issues when using save as, versus save with *.xml files.

Use Notepad++ with the XML Tools plugin which can validate your XML for possible errors after you make edits.

f'in hate tuning wastegates. Ive spent more time on the wastegate table than the whole rest of the rom including the VE table

i really thought this was going to be the flash that the stars aligned and i got close to target but no. The initial spike is gone, but then it went rogue

i know. your methods rocks. but its for my flex tune. i want to be able to just go from 93 octane to e85 and anywhere in between without resetting max boost

when the boost curve went rogue, i felt it happened. the ewg went quiet liek to completely shut even though i was only requesting 50% duty cycle. I thought maybe a solenoid line came off but still intact

Thats strange. Mine took only a few runs to setup. Try changing your plumbing to this

most of the time i've wasted was trying differnet setups, bleeders, and hz.

Ive tried that method, i couldnt get it to stop overboosting without a bleeder in the line to top port. For whatever reason, mine car is very touchy. I couldnt even get it right with a MBC. The hybrid method would work best for me i think, since i could set max with the MBC and use the EBC to take out the initial spike but then im left with one boost level

my run from way home yesterday. it boost cut again. So i raised the 5500 area a couple percent to 42% and then tapered it down to 20% at redline. Havent tried it yet. Also took TD back out. Doesnt seem to be helping at all until i get initall to target close enough
