hi guys, Im trying to setup the boost control feature using the canister purge output
I've flashed the full flash in with boost control turned on, first thing is theres about a 1 minute delay before the solenoid starts clicking but no matter what duty cycle I put in the table I get the same frequency on the solenoid. has anyone here successfully had this working? and just to confirm the canister purge valve we are talking about is the one under the plenum behind the power steer reservoir?
thanx guys Im at the stage of turning the boost up and I really want to use this feature instead of aftermarket.

There are some checks in the code, e.g. min coolant temp before activating the output stage. What maps/constants did you modify?

I lowered the temp to 45, then tried 85% duty on both tables then tried 10% on both tables, the output to the solenoid was the same, and both times it had a delay of about 1 minute before it started working with engine temp 70+
I then flashed another dme with the same standard file with boost control turned on, but this time I made no changes to anything and the result was the same.

So it would be smart to write down all the changes you´ve done

I didn't explain myself right, the first time I tried it I used a Daniels 512k stock flash, turned boost control on, checked sum it flashed it to my dme then flahed my tuned partial file in and tried different numbers on the duty cycle table and no difference to output.
Then I flashed daniel's stock 512k file with boost control turned on and checked summed but I kept the stock partial bin also, I then checked the output and was the same as before and still had the delay.
have you used this yourself?

Ok, so first of all it makes more sense now

One thing i´m a bit sceptical about is that you say you flashed an already boost control activated file from that Daniel? Did i get you right? If so, i´m pretty shure it doesn´t exist as i´m that Daniel and i never released such a file!

I now a few guys that use it, incl. Hobbit which the idea comes from.

Please upload your latest file which you tried without success and i´ll take a look

And the RRdefinition file seems to makes some sw code change to the programming section of the flash if you enable the boost control. But I have zero idea what that does, but I would guess that it's what lap79 has done?

correct! if you use the switch in RR to turn boost control on, that should give you control over the canister purge output to control a 3 port solenoid, but its not working.

ah ok, no I used your file then put it in RR, done the switch then flashed it to my dme.

So upload it and i´ll take a look or debate for the rest of your time!

in TunerPro software there's another table that RR doesn't show and its under canister purge, ip_cppwm_max_n_maf
if I get a change on the weekend i'll try it

I tried it and still no difference, can someone confirm that I'm using the correct output?

i checked your file and boost control is enabled.
so i guess next step is you to check your wiring or your solenoid valve
