Hi,

new user with a big headache....i have weird closed loop fuel trim issues.

Issue:
LTFT A -12%
LTFT B -1.3%
LTFT C 8%
LTFT D 13%

The switch between the negative trim at idle to high positive under semi load has me confused.

Car:
I bought the car 2nd had 2 months ago allready with the mods on
2007 ADM Forester XT AT
decat
stg1 tuned by local well respected tuner
186000km

Things done to fix trims:
* i saw my Turbo inlet pipe was torn at the turbo and replaced that with a silicone inlet pipe
* thinking it might be a vacuum leak....i have replaced nearly all small vacuum lines
* I have also zip tied every possible connection on the vacuum lines and inlet pipe.
* replaced throttle body to inter-cooler connection with silicone coupler.
* serviced car with new air filter, oil , sparkplugs

I am at a loss....the negative trim at idle tells me that it might not be a vaccuum leak, and the positive trim at cruise and load tells me it cant be a boost leak.....so I am now not sure which way anymore..

any advice? I leaning towards :
* the MAF being bad.....(see it is the JDM Denso code maf (possible fake chinese ??)
* Maybe the remap was done with issues on the car and the map is not working?
* maybe the O2 sensor is going ?

Does you car have the factory intake, MAF housing, etc?

If it's all stock, then have you compared your MAF scaling to the stock MAF scaling?

If you have the stock intake hardware, but not the stock MAF scaling, try putting in the stock scaling and see if that helps.

Basically, I just wonder if the tuner just got it wrong.

Car has stock intake , but the resonator was removed.
The airbox has the usual rear clips that broke but I have "fixed" them and the box is sealing tight.
only difference is that that the MAF seems like a different model number....

I am trying to pull my ROM, but I only have a VAG-COM cable and I am not getting joy with ecumem app at the moment....not reading the right blocks I suppose. As soon as I do that I will compare to stock maps.

I assume if the intake remained stockish , that the scaling of the MAF will stay more or less the same? regardless of other mods ?

Yes, the stock scaling should work fine with the stock intake hardware, regardless of what else has changed.
