After finding a few issues lately, one being mechanical i decided to go back to ms41 as i heard so many variations of stories surrounding using ms41.2.
I donr this purely based on the fact that the ms41 software and all maps were designed for this motor stock, out of the box and it gave me a fresh platform instead of amending so many of the ms41.2 tables to then think there may be more that are not defined yet and still only suitable for the M3. also i found when flashing ms41.2 partial files when i read them back there were random changes to the flash i had done and that was the last straw.
I am now running full MS41 again but now i cant log or read addaption tables ! :( what is going on :(

I have sorted it all but i dont know how, it was all becoming a mess so i flashed back to MS41 to see how things performed, car ran ok but had no ability to log or read adaptions so went back to MS41.2 and everything is fine, adaptions are happening and when reading back files they are all OK. a little gremlin was hiding somewhere i think

I have use ms41 to ms41.2 conversion for a few month, so now i've got DTC error told "
P420 and P430" from my understanding P420&P430 is cat efficiency bank1&2 but in my car(EU) that have no downstream o2 sensor, why this DTC error is show? what should i do for solve that?

Thanks,

About new option for disable that your mention. Where is it? Cloud you explain?
Or
Oxygen sensor
DTC 70, 61 Downstream o2 sensor heater (bank1, 2), set to disable
DTC 79, 61 Downstream o2 sensor heater (bank1, 2) alternate, set to disable
DTC 77, 78 Downstream o2 sensor voltage (bank1, 2), set to disable
set DTC 233/234 minimum volts to 0, and DTC233/234 maximum volts to 5.

Thanks,

You don’t need to do voltage. Just the 1 heater delete. That’s it.

Ok now i'm disable all of them is:
DTC 70, 61 Downstream o2 sensor heater (bank1, 2), set to disable
DTC 79, 61 Downstream o2 sensor heater (bank1, 2) alternate, set to disable
DTC 77, 78 Downstream o2 sensor voltage (bank1, 2), set to disable
wait and see how it go.

Now i use Torque(android application) and ELM327 BTdongle to see some parameter when i'm driving. today i have strange problem LTFT2 is show -100.8(before value is~3.1) i'm shutdown and restart engine immediately and check LTFT2 again that still show -100.8, after that i shutdown engine and take some time and restart engine n check LFTF2 is show normally value.
What's matter or i have anything false?

Thanks,

Hy,

Hy,

i do the MS 41.2_Full but now i can`t go back to MS41.0 or do the Full Write again with the MS41.2.
The software just do nothing, the status bars donst moves.

test the Chipster and MS41QuickFlash, and no work 41.2 to 41.0

In outhers ecu with MS41.0, works perfect, since i stay with the MS41.0

You need to do a full write of ms41.0 to revert back

Chipsters will brick it with that conversion. Use Quickflash only

Hi guys,

I'm about to convert my 41.0 to 41.2. I noticed that I can't copy the whole table 1 to 1. The contents of the table are taken over, the rows at the top and left are not taken over. Is the problem known?

If your doing this for an FI engine you will have to rescale the load columns, if it’s NA, it doesn’t matter you copy from ms41.0 or not as anyhow you will have to re-tune the partial fuel map
