Hi,

looks like great support for software version 56! does anyone know if its possible to cross flash the software vesions. For example if I've an ecu with an older or newer software version can I flash version 56 and see no functionality issues. I assume to do this you must flash the full 512kb in order for it to work?

You can flash other software versions if you flash the entire 512kb file.

Thanks! that's helpful.

First move is full flash of 056 software version with EWS delete then (Providing I can find one)

Can anyone confirm the rear diff ratio address? How was this found as it's not defined in the other XDF. It also reads differently between the full flash and the partial flash.

Partial
Code:
<table name="Rear Diff Ratio" storageaddress="0x672"/>

Full
Code:
<table name="Rear Diff Ratio" storageaddress="0x7672"/>

If this is intact the right address in the partial, the full needs updating to:
Code:
<table name="Rear Diff Ratio" storageaddress="0x70672"/>

c_gr_rax_sp is located at 0x672 & 0x70672, as partial offset is 70000 in full flash.

updated definitions to 0.9.7.

Made changes to:
- defined WOT Detection maps for fuel enrichment, Vanos and DISA
- Add adaptive fuel learning category containing STFT, LTFT and Idle additive maps
- MAF plausibility thresholds under forced induction
- Maximum MAF and Maximum Load values under sensor scaling

Conversion on the injector dead times should be: "X * 0.032"

What makes you say that?

I'm guessing actual code analysis. But I have always wondered if ms43 dead times are right because those are bit weird. Obviosly I was right doubting those :D

I have an old 0056 XDF from either Daniel F. Or Thaniel or something like that...someone who was pretty big in the ms43 community, and its conversion is the same as what is listed currently in the ms43 defs.

I guess assuming things can lead to incorrect things though lol.

Yes, it is copy & paste mistake. MS42 funktionsrahmen and code say its X*0.032

And Pazi is right doubting those dead times :)

First hint on the deadtimes being wrong in public XDF came from Thaniel back in 2016 if I remember correctly.

I’ve done some moderate searching off and on for the ms42 funktionsrahmen in any form, pdf, txt, anything and I haven’t come up with any links or downloads. Would someone mind sharing it with me?

I didn’t have any issues finding it for my wife’s VW 1.8t running ME7.1
