yeah that’s what they do for the s54x n5x, s85 pops. Makes sense

I think RK tunes does it this way also from what iv heard/Seen

The Dashpot function will help control the IACV in those situations. In stock form, it is set to open up slightly when reducing throttle to reduce a sharp reduction in torque for smooth drivability. I assume the right most column can be modified to help the IACV open up much more during high throttle lifts. Increase the right-most column of the Dashpot table as needed.

Yeah that's what I was thinking about too. If there isn't more specific map for the purpose. Unfortunately both of my ms41 equipped cars are not in driving condition, so I can't test that now. But maybe someone else can.

Done exactly the same a few days ago, no effect.

had anyone test a few settings for pops & bangs on a Car with automatic gearbox.
I drive a 528iA and tested a few examples from this thread but die auto Car is
very smoother with the decel process so i can´t use the settings from a manual car.

Had anyone settings there will be run a automatic Car ?

I didn't this time around as i was hoping the change to be pretty noticeable but no change in rpm drop or sound at all so i scrapped the idea off for now.

How much and where did you change. In the dashpot - nominal I would say that you need to change the highest RPM row to something like 30-40%

Oh i didnt go that heavy to be fair. I noticed from around 4krpm and down it hit 12% in the table and i have always had burble there so i input just 14% in the furthest and last cell hoping it would do somthing above 5krpm but nothing, I will hit harder and add 30% and report back.

And change the whole highest rpm row.

Hello guys,

I am trying to eliminate rev hang. I have tried pazi88's suggestion of adjusting ignition retard - decreasing TPS -step size (ECT compensation) as per the post. This has made the throttle feel very on off and harsh in traffic whilst lifting of the accelerator. Is there anything else which needs adjusting? Im not interested in pops or crackles as i have tried this again with pazi88 suggestion, it worked well but got annoying for me.

Hello everybody, i'm currently trying do to what most of people try to achieve in this post : i want to get rid of the crackle/burble.

I've bought my car with it and a "full tube stainless steel exhaust" wich make it WAYYYYYY too noisy for me (original M3 muffler incoming), plus the "burble" continue as long as you have your foot lift off the throttle :roll: wich mean if i'm downhill throttle closed during 2 kilometer i've got to hear (me and everybody miles away) the exhaust farting in my ear.

You could clearly hear it at 0:04 and 0:20 second in the video :

I've read carrefully the thread but the maps implied into exhaust pop doesn't seems to have been touched :shock: when i take an original dump on this website and i compare the table i've only got minor difference in some table that are not related to this.

At this point i only see three possibilities :
- The implied table into the burble are not within the XML definitions
- The modification are into the full read... (possible ? i doubt.)
- There is a third party system involved into this...

I've attached the dump of my car to the topic (read with a galletto V54). If someone could lay me a hand it would be great :)
