M32176F4V read with ecumem.
From a JDM LGT 2007.

The pcb has the same partnumber as my 2005 jdm tcu with UJ mcu.

The above is 31711-AK570 CID MB558D20.

There should also exist Tribeca 3.0 5EAT MY06\07 similar TCU's.

A similar one from LGT06 JDM

Think I got my M32176F4V into bootmode correctly now.

Thought it would be uart tx/rx to sio1 as in the renesas manual but I dont get any response.
Tried with the sync bytes and commands like ufla32 program.
Also tried sio3 and sio0/k-line without any luck.

I personnaly failed to understand whether you have got into bootmode or not..

You ARE TO use 5 V UART voltage level AND 18 or more sync 0's.

This is what I have:
5v from the pcb to HL12 (mod0)
watchdog from another tcu to keep reset happy

when I have 5v to HL12 the ssm communication doesent work so its not in normal mode.

5V uart to sio1 tx and rx (TP11, TP12, TP14 sclk1 pulled to ground)

I have only sent 16 sync 0....
Tried with more sync 0 now but didnt get any response

Didnt get any response from it. Probably doing something wrong.

Sasha: Do you have a M32176 tcu you can try bootmode sync on? I am out of ideas.

I do not have Subaru Denso TCU based on Renesas M32R at hand.
Outboard\bike Denso ecu's based on Renesas M32R follow Renesas bootmode specs.

Ok.

31711ak570 tcu with m32176 says Hitachi on the cover. Can this be uj bootloader?

JECS/Hitachi labels for similar M32R chips are WA12212940WWW\ WA12212950WWW\ WA12212960WWW.
They have their own undocumented bootmode loader.
Renesas M32R has it's own one.

TCU 31711AG589 (origin unknown, doesn`t meet any database) but worked properly with JDM LGTB 5AT.
was replaced by 31711AJ782
chip WA12212953WWW
511B101

TCU 31711AJ782 JDM LGTB 03-04MY
chip: cant say at the moment.
