Hi all

i'm seeing if someone can help me on something i've found with regards of the ms42.

I have two ecu's here, one with a siemens chip and one with a infineon.

Now i can read both ecu's using jmgarageflasher via the boot mode with no problem.
When flashing the siemens ecu, the flash saves fine
When flashing the infineon chip ecu, the flash runs and no errors logged but then i turn the ecu off and back on again the flash is back to the standard map. the new flash doesn't save. i'm a little confused why tho?

anyone had this before or am i doing it wrong?

Use mss5x flashtool.

i dont have any luck doing a full flash with mss5x flashtool with ms42 or ms43 ecu's which is why i've been using garage flasher

Full flashes work with mss5x if you don't change sw version. Which is not needed for most of the ecus because slmodt all run ad, c6 or ca sw.

I'm living in Hungarian, so sorry for my english.
I need a piece of help. I have an E39 528i (m52tub28, ms42 ecu), and i want to delete ews. I readed into the ecu the 512kb file with JMGrarage, but i can't find where the ews...
I could do it with ms41, but here i don't find. When i boughted, it wasn't key, and not started. Can someone help to me? I sending beer!

Use the latest 0.40 ecu definition. It has ews del switch for most common ms42 versions.
