so, really wanting to turbo my usdm 03 forester, and would love a tuning option other than a rising rate fuel reg and hoping that the ecu will pull the timing before something pops... why no love for the 03 forester ECUs yet? is it something that would bea hardware issue, as in the eeprom cant be rewritten or just that no ones tried....
IF it could work, what are the chances of rewriting the tables for a MAP based tune for 6-7psi on the stock ecu? my car doesnt have a MAF, so swapping to an 04 usdm xt ecu isnt really an option either....

I think ECUlabs might have something that can work with your ECU.

bogieboy - what ecu is your car fitted with, are you able to grab a pic of it inside the casing and the big sticker on the label?
most likely it's just not supported by ecuflash, even UF you can read the file off with another tool you'll still be stuck in not knowing which parts of the file are timing/fuel tables etc. it may be easier to fit some kind of piggyback fuel/timing controller if your really busting to lift the heads or bend a rod on your na motor. to do it right, swap loom, engine and ECU etc. from a turbo car to begin with.

The most probably there is Hitachi 22611-AG590 ( and there were 6 updates trying to cure 1500-3000 Rpm flat spot ).
