Hi, I have a problem with a friends MSS52. (E39 M5)

I use Siemens MSS5x Flash Tool from chipster.no

The first thing I do is read both full and partial for backup

Then I do a full flash with another full read (found here) with version 1601 so I can use the definitions discussed in this forum.

When I now try to do partial write (to do my changes, since definitions doesnt support full read), it wont write!

The flash tool is stuck at 0%, and bytes not changing. I can read ECU Info and Master chip, but nothing else works. (tried full write with original file, but same, no progress)

What can I do? Thanks for all the help I can get

I'd suggest trying to flash with winkfp

Mhm, nearly most versions define but not offical released .
So no need to swap versions. Did you also got master and slave read?
If WinKfp didnt work and you dont get BDM-Tool send me PM I can recover nearly all of them with flash bricked.

So first: Let ECU set down. Wait ~ 15min disconnected. Put in, read ID. If work. Did fullflash , after this disconnect ~10 sec., did ID read and directly partial flash. After this, disconnect and wait some time and after this test read.
If dont work WinKfp or PM me.

Have tried waiting - read ecu info - full flash - doesnt work (stuck at first byte/0%)

I have never used WinKFP, but I have it installed with INPA, so I'll try googling that

I can only read MASTER chip, Lambda1

I will PM if I cant get WinKFP to work

I do have Kess V2 china copy, but it does only support OBD, have tried but get error on read

I've never used WinKFP as said, and when I now updated the daten files, it just crashes.. I'll PM you, Lambda1
