With engine off and ignition on my neutral position switch shows 0 in neutral and 1 in first gear and all other gears.
My calculated gear shows 5 in neutral and 6 when I select 1st gear.
Should I have the NPS enabled on NPS standard?
I just read a post from Jason in the NLTS thread that the NPS should read “1” in neutral. depends on the switch in the transmission not all JDM transmissions had the inverted switch, but 02/03 wrx didn't so "JDM inverted" isn't necessary for ALL JDM you can switch the sensor to the other type and flip the NPS standard to whatever 6 is for neutral 5th and 6th gear read as 5, other gears read obviously as their gear if the determination thresholds are good I’ve set it on NPS standard now and it shows 6th in neutral and 5th when I select a gear with NPS going from 1 to 0. See how it behaves next test drive.

sounds right, but you should also get 1, 2, 3, 4 from their gears
if you're only getting '5' for all gears then idk

For NLTS Configuration, can someone confirm which one is the TID Switch input pin based on this diagram? If its E1, its already on ground and the color of the wire is pink. Not black and red. Attachment:

color wire changes between ecus, but E1 is E1 on all the Carberry capable ecus
you're good
"power ground" sounds like they tested it as no voltage but didn't know what it was for
it's four over and two up from the missing one, depending on the diagram you're looking at the front or back of the plug
open circuit (switch/pin tests as positive voltage from ecu), one status closed circuit (switch/pin is grounded, tests no voltage), another status
manual comes grounded auto isn't
cut the wire going to the plug from the harness, and tuck it away.
then run the wire coming from the plug to a SPST switch, which the other side is grounded, or not. then disable auto trans logic.
then figure out if you want it grounded normally, not grounded normally, and whether or not you need inverse relationship on switching for you tables.
I prefer to have the default status of switches being off to be open circuit, in the event of a wire connection issue, having grounded as normal would present issues with not being able to maintain normal operation
so some of my table switching options are inverted, sometimes map 2 is normal and map 1 is the switched option

Thanks! I got it working now, but probably incorrect gear determination.
How do you log the Vehicle Speed Ratio calculation? I dont see it in RR.

Curious if anyone has gotten the "Boost Error" param to work in Carberry.
I see that there are two different parameters E5 and E35
I can get the logger to report both E5 and E35 to RomRaider.
I try different addresses and E35 always shows 0.00 and I try E5 and it gets stuck at -633.53
I know that I can do target boost - actual boost for this value, but I thought maybe I could get this value working.
ECU ID = 3D04EA4605

I have carberry installed by Clark turner on my JDM Version 7 ECU. I just changed out my spark plugs since I thought I was misfiring. BKR7EIX. verified gap at 0.030”
When accelerating and on the gas, I get the CEL light go on and when I get off the gas it goes off. This can happen when starting up the car and then just pushing the gas slightly.
What does that mean? Is it knock or is it a misfire?
I’m in the middle of maintenance of my vehicle and just changed out all vacuum lines. There has been a lean at idle issue since it was tuned back in 2018. The car has been sitting but in good working order.
Further,
I’m not sure the specifics of speed density but I still have a MAF Sensor and I have an upgraded MAP sensor from AEM installed.
I have a APS FMIC and thought I required a IAT sensor to be installed to be on SD. if required what location should I put the sensor and will an iwire kit be sufficient?

I literally just got it out of storage the other day so no logs had happened just yet. I planned to do some light driving. Tuning isn’t something I completely understand so I do my best but leave it to the professionals mostly.

iNfek from the good ole days of nasioc with Prue?
its Trueno92 here.
Anyway, check for codes with the CEL going off. that will tell u if the CEL is registering a code or just letting you know the ecu is doing a knock correction.
regarding the SD carberry tune, its looking for an IAT sensor which you prob have wired up somewhere, check before the throttle body on a FMIC cold pipe side.
you can retain the MAF on an SD tune, is it plugged in? it could be using that IAT if you cannot locate one else where.
installing one is dead simple, 2 wires, solding iron and tapping the sensor somewhere on the cold charge side is prob the biggest challenge.

MAF is plugged in and on a big maf. I do not have a IAT installed. I’m tracking down a few vacuum leaks. Since the light just flashes will it still show a code? I’m running an APS FMIC, will I need to put it on the core or just the pipe? Cold side, you mean the one going to the throttle body and not coming from the turbo correct? if the cel flashes, and u check for codes, and it says NO CODE, then the cel would be the knock correction event. In your case, i would rather see a code but if its knock from old bad gas, then maybe that's just it. For cold pipe, any pipe between TB -> FMIC/TMIC is good. ppl use the end tank since there is more material there to cast a bung or tap a threaded hold. I used a silicone coupling that has a bung on it right at the TB side. Maybe im confused, i thought you were SD already but i think ur just running carberry in MAF mode. Hopefully a tuner comes back to the islands that can tune this carberry software. Hehe. I appreciate you remembering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
