Oh, interesting I hadn’t considered that we might be able to retard too much. If so, that’s great! Yes play with the retard % :)

I see the black smoke so yeah it’s misfiring later than intended. Need to convert the black smoke into fire, lol.

I am testing this for days the Ignition cut seems like not working or is so fast that doesn't cut enough time. I set it at 5000rpm with anything less than -60%the engine doesn't stop to rev it keeps going until normal limiter kicks in at 6800.
With -80% retard it stays at 5000rpm but you can't hear any ignition cut it just stops revving more rpms.
So my conclusion is that it doesn't cut Ignition only retards.
Or maybe the cut time is very little.
On me7.5 ecu when implementing launch and flat shift u can play with Ignition cut time and 200ms is enough for big flames and bangs.
Unfortunately I can't log it keeps stopping after 3000rpm something wrong with my kline don't know

Because it is not Igntion Cut Rev Limiter, it only retards current ignition for building boost, Misleading title tho.

Yes, this thread was started before I started coding this function.

Ignition Retard is the correct term :)

I think this is adequately explained in the Wiki at this point. Let me know if it isn't.
https://sites.google.com/site/openms41/ ... ion-retard

Also, the main intent of this function is to build boost during a launch. The flames are just a fun by-product :)

Ok that is explaining all the behavior. I think that it must be corrected at the definition file also to something like retard setpoint.
Thanks for info

I am looking into MS41.3, Just too see what's new, and because i want too see how boost control works with MS41.3

however, with ECU definitions loaded from MS41wiki (Version 0.46 beta 1.0)
and opening the SS1 example 24KB file from MS41wiki. I just get the normal MS41.2 maps in Romraider.

what am i doing wrong?

could the content of the charcoal canister be used for pops and bangs ? instead of turning on the injectors just have the vapor purging enabled only on deceleration or just when shifting gears (or it's just not enough vapors ) ?

can't wait for MS41.3 to be released ^_^

I am building custom code for MS41.2, I will post progress here if mrf582 don't have anything against it.

I will never put HEX codes, or any easy C/P solution.
Only pictures from IDA so we can discuse about it, and to help people that have knowlage to make this by itself.
I dont't want to be rude for others, but I respect all constribution to this forum, so I don't want to make any damage to people that make this for living

First question, is it safe to put custom code at FF at end of full flash. Lets say 3DAAA
EDIT: I put custom code here and did on beceh and everything work, I need to test on car

If I make something wrong ECU will be bricked and only solution is to program 29F200 with programer?

EDIT: first flash went good, no bricked ECU, code work
