Hello,

please how is IPW calcualted? I have MS41.2 ecu heavily moede N/A 3,2 litre engine stock injectors ... but wim getting very fancy numbers:
Base MAP : 12,4ms
WOT ENRICHMENT 20%
COP NOMINAL = 0
VANOS ENRCIHMENT = 0

by my calculation it should be 12,5*1,2 = 14,88ms
in logger i have: 19,8ms

another calculation:
BASE MAP: 11ms
WOT ENRICHMENT 28%
COP NOMINAL = 0
VANOS ENRCIHMENT = 0

by my calculation it should be 11*1,28 = 14,08ms
in logger i have: 14,7ms

Again, ive tried 45.5, 45.6 definitions ... ms41.2 ...

BASE: 13ms
Enrichment: 30%

should be: 16.9ms
Logged: 19,4ms ... around 14.7 percent more than it should be ...

adaptations cleared ...

Again new logger and definition, all from ms41 portal, all adaptation cleared.

In fuel map lest sain between over 820 load and there is 16ms BASE injection time (which match with logger) And 14,1 percent of enrichment during WOT. COP 0, adaptations cleared.

16ms + 14 percent enrichment should be : 18,24ms


In logger i have in this spot 21,4ms of IPW, BASE FUEL is 16,1ms which is pretty much spot on, you can see there is no adaptaions logged ... is this normal?
21,4ms is 33 percent more fuel, not 14 percent as in map.


Which value should i use for calculating Inejctor duty cycle? One in map or one logged?

what about them? tables are stock so are ainjectors...

to get this clear ... if you guys have lets say 15ms in base map, and 20% enrichment you see 18ms in logger right? or Im only one with this problem :roll:

To be honest never investigated those issues that far.
Just checked a log from M50TUB20 running on MS41.2 and got even worse data:
Code:
2000RPM:
base IPW from map 12.80ms
open loop enrichment 9.4% -> ~1.20ms
injector latency @14V 0.47ms
sum -> ~14.47ms
logged value 11.248ms

4000RPM:
base IPW - 12.48ms
open loop enrichment 9.4% -> ~1.17ms
injector latency @14V 0.47ms
sum -> ~14.12ms
logged value 10.984ms

Of course all other corrections 0, fuel integrators 0...
It seems logged data is irrelevant - we should only change map values multiplying them to get proper AFR.

Ive tried to set enchrichment to 0%, TPS to open loop to 50% and use only base map...

At 2400rpm there should be 17.11ms from base map and thats it ..

I have: 19.4 ms Base ... which is ... lets say ok BUT 23.88 IPW ... thats 23% ritcher than base AND 39%!!!! ritcher than it its in base map.

I can make it to AFR that i want thats not a problem ... problem is that im not sure If my duty cycle is OK, because I dont know which values i should trust :roll: :roll: :roll:

It's possible the formula for OLE in the definitions needs to be multiplied or divided by 2 based on some data above. Can someone else confirm?

Also, are you getting confused by the interpolation the ECU does? Why are you yelling that your basemap is calling for 17.11ms when you're at 2400RPM and 711 Load when adjacent to cells with values of 19 and 22ms? Your basemap is NOT calling for 17.11ms at those RPM/load.

Also, knock can add fuel like your log is showing. And A WHOLE LOT of other things are multiplied to the base fuel value...Do not expect it to match your base table, LMFAO. Read more about this ECU; it is ALL on this forum.

This is what I am telling for a long time - we do not have all tables defined making it ridiculously difficult to tune different injectors/MAF/boosted application.

You are right - interpolating base map values proper value for 711mg/stroke@2400RPM would be 18.90ms which seems to be ~2.5% less than logged as base IPW.
