Can anybody help on the boost tune for a gen1 diesel (2009 Legacy 2.0D EUDM )? I attached a snapshot with the boost map I developed. Problem is that around 2800rpm it has a cutoff for a split second and then continues with no issues.
Thanks

you'd have better luck if you share the rom as well so other items can be checked, along with a log of the "cutoff" at 2800rpm your experiencing.

ok - hard to say for sure without some kind of a log from it but at a guess i would say your Request Tq is going over your TQ Limit at that point. So up to that point you'll have been limited by boost/iq/smoke limit and after that your limited by tq if you try and smooth all the values out a bit you should get a smoother feeling car as a result. sometimes i find it easier to just make a chart for the different requests/limits just to make sure everything is still on track. but if you log the values you should see where they overlap as well.

Logs!We need logs. At least Boost requested, boost actual, boost reg DC, actual IQ, actual rail pressure and start of injection. Then we might see what is causing the cutoff and continue from that.

May I ask where did you find the defs for this ROM? I would like to have them too.

Is there any new info about this?
I have the same issue on my 2008 diesel legacy. When accelerating pedal on the floor on 2nd gear, I can feel cutoff about 2500-2600rpm. I have now stock map and it is still behaving same way.
I started to think that is there something wrong with the VNG of the turbo charger, maybe jamming.

I tried to log with romraider, but cant get much out of it. There are only few parameters visible for logging. I can see that it goes to boost limit around 2500RPM and that causes the cutoff.
Tried to find better logger definitions for diesel with no success. Does anyone know is there logger defs for diesel?

The RR Logger will shows you all the parameters your ECU supports for logging. The only other way to get more parameters is to dissect the ROM to locate ECU specific RAM parameters to add to the standard SSM parameter set.

Hi! Definition file for ecuflash would be nice, so I could take a look and compare it to mine. I also had a weird dip in power while my car was stock, but it somehow went away itself. Maybe it was VNG sticking.

check your boost controller solenoid valve, especially clean its "intake" filter, that is used to drop off vacuum from turbo side. If these are to dirty, they may alter this process resulting with overboosting.
For logs use cheap kkl vag cable, these are able to ssm2 and you have jdmscan app for android or pc with romraider logger (direct usb connection to the device mandatory and all needed definitions for E4 are on this forum, just dig deeper).

I have checked the boost control solenoid valve, it is working fine. Also cleaned the filter, the problem still exist.
