Alexander, hello. Tuners have long been identified with "Injector Minimum Pulse Width". Now I observe that the choice was made in the direction of halved value.

Nissan uses the same injector pulse timing calculations that JECS\Hitachi used.
I have traced exactly those JECS\Hitachi. That was analyzed thru processor timers initialization.
There are 2 set of injectors used for 1.5L and 2.0L engines.
The latency is around 0.6-0.7ms and the slope is around 0.07-0.09 ms/V.

The first value is strongly dependent on injector switch schematics namely the cutoff voltage ( 50-80 V ) when injector current is switched off.
That is why additional analysis is needed when you see 0.47 or 0.94 ms in someone's definition instead of common 0.6-07 ms for Denso\JECS\Hitachi ecu's.

Nevertheless you may use wrong latency\slope for ages and tuning MAF\VE without knowing the exact digits. And have an applicable engine calibrations.
a33b uses the most reliable source as a basis and his findings maybe directly verified thru ecu hardware initialization procedures analysis.
Just have in mind that SH7055\7058 use 40 MHz and SH7058S uses 80 MHz processor clock.

Recently improved this definition after user ikasbd made a base definition file for me. Used 8U92A in-order to find additional maps.

edit: added DTC locations to map, function of DTC toggle to be confirmed
edit: users ikabsd, and pytrex found more maps including throttle cut, latest definition is attached

I'll update the repo this week sometime.

It might be for the best to switch ZD89A to use my ZG59B as its base, all the maps seem to match, and ZG59B has more definition at this point.

Just a heads up, all ECU ID’s will have to be six characters with the 1 in front of them come next RR update. (According to Dschultz) The XML ID’s can stay the same, but the ECU ID and ECU ID storage address will have to be altered for every ROM. It shouldn’t take much time, but just thought I’d let y’all know.

Where did you see that ?
And more importantly, why ? Nissan's own partnumbers e.g. 23710-8U92A never list the leading '1' ...

Dschultz told me about it in my post here -> viewtopic.php?f=14&p=156611#p156611

To be honest, I have no idea why it’s switching. Subaru ECU ID’s are eight characters if I remember correctly, so not sure why it’s important. But I presume the internal coding for RR that handles finding the ECU ID for ECU definitions is being altered and a byproduct of that is requiring the ECU ID to be six characters instead of five? I do agree that I’d rather utilize five characters than six, however. CF48D just feels much better and easier to identify than 1XXXXX.

IIRC there is always preceeding "1" in the ECU ID in the firmware, which normally is not returned via GetECUID SID. I.e. 18U92A is visible in the hex dump.
And this is the case for all ROMs I've seen so far (which of course doesn't mean "all ROMs" :-D )

The few I’ve looked at ASC-II coding for have been the same way. Uprev even has the ECU ID storage address set to 1CF48D for CF48D, even though they still label it as CF48D. But they don’t use Java, so they have tons of ways to handle how they represent the ECU ID. No set requirements haha

Fenugrec was referring to when you look at the ECU part number, it doesn’t show the 1. So CF48D at Nissan would be 23710-CF48D and not 23710-1CF48D. I don’t have a clue why the 1 is ever there in the code when it’s just a constant. Seems pointless to me. Just makes it harder to identify ECU ID’s.

If this would be the only question we have regards these ROMs :-D

I have an 06 g35 mt, and I used the nh7058 kernel, read my stock bin, imported the nissan definitions into romraider and opened my bin, and I'm getting that it can't find the kernel. Could someone take a look at my bin?
