Hi, I need help to make adjustments to my MS42 ECU, it is a BMW 320ci E46. I have connected the obd and it detects the cable but it does not let me read the ECU. Any advice on how to do it?

Maybe ecu is locked by previous owner or tuner to prevent from stolen there software.
