What is the ecu's behavior if you hit the load limit? Is it like hitting the rev limiter or does it stop calculating fuel?

Just wanted to bump to see what the ecu will do if you hit engine load limit?
I have increased mine but I'm hitting weird behavior I can't seem to figure out, seems like bucking or surging or really bad break up/misfire.

It locks ignition timing and injector pulse for the value at engine load limit. So if you hit it at say 3000rpm, it holds timing at and injector pulse width ms on that load value even if you are at 2.5g/rev etc What ECU ID? Some newer cars have two limiters

Hitting the 4 g/rev load limit already at 1.4 bar and we aim for 1.8ish, AZ1P000G 2016 sti. Does someone know where I can find this doubler, or maybe even double it for me? Turbo is MD321V

td-d wrote: 0x97830 Thank you! I saw the value was 8 in hex, will add to my ecuflash defs and see what the table looks like there and maybe I will figure out what value it should have. edit: I just did multiplier 2 in ecuflash. Will see if it worked next time the car comes by!

Didn’t work. Hitting the 4 limit and car leans out…
What to do? Dime or Merp?

This has the multiplier doubled
Test and report back

Thank you! I tried myself again and it worked, this time entered 4 as the multiplier. So now fueling seems ok! Load hitting 4.9, so car is not slow.

Factory value of the multiplier is .000061035
Multiplying it by 2 for a value of .00122070 effectively doubles the load limit

Anyone ever find the address for AE5IB40V?
I would love to use the added idle controls that the updated rom adds over the older AE5IB00V. However, I will use the old rom since @td-d already found that one for us. I will be stuck on the old one since my load is hitting over 6.5g/sec and it's leaning out up top, of course, but I am excited to have found this thread which confirmed my suspicion about the load limit B.
No matter how much I scaled up the MAF, my AFR would go lean. I was looking at MAF volts and injector DC and scratching my head when I should have been paying attention to IPW. These issues were compounded further by various issues with freakin' AFR sensors and a leaky EWG. But I'm 99% sure tomorrow, when I flash the new map with a load limit of 8 instead of 4, that I will have great success other than being super rich.
Thanks for everything!

2011 STI owners need this. How do you find memory address anyway? Seems like you could search & find the value .00006103516 and that would likely be the multiplier. I'm probably going to do the DimeMod for this ROM and he vaguely said that the load limit is resolved in it. Also, he is close to having his 2.0 version done with some Flex Fuel tables. I'd love to go speed density + flex fuel or meth injection. E85 is not at any pumps near me, so I'm leaning towards meth injection to get the most out of my setup.

Anybody for AZ1G401V? Running Merpmod Switch looks like I can change "Engine Load Limit A (Maximum)" to 5, but "Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM)" maxes out at 4.
Thank you.

Anyone? I’d previously gotten around this by scaling my injectors different to what ID suggests, but then it plays havoc as you have to adjust all of your other tables that use engine load.
