With a fresh boot of my pc, I can get a good connection to my Innovate MTX data stream ( mtx-l wideband, mtx-d oil temp/pressure). A short time later Logger either drops those values to zero or they freeze at some previous value. Logworks has no issues connecting and reading data reliably. Close Logger after a freeze and Logworks will pick up and start working without issue. The issue seems to be isolated to the MTX stuff as my ECU data is fine.
Diagnostic steps taken: 1: switch from an outdated prolific Serial to USB to a new FTDI chip. 2: Removed daisy chain cable and connected directly to the wideband. 3: Reinstalled RomRaider and redownloaded all definitions.
Anyone have any ideas? Or have the same issue and were able to resolve it?

I believe the one titled rr_system_1.log should be the correct one. I deleted the old file before I started the software this morning but found 2 files available when I wrote this post so I included both. One update on steps I have taken. If I use the Innovate Wideband AFR plugin I get good data and it seems reliable. So this is a fix for now but does not explain why the MTX one doesn't work.

The log shows a serial error every 1 second. Do you have more that one plugin trying to use the serial port? Code: 53207 INFO [main] - Innovate MTS: current port [2]: COM8 53730 INFO [main] - Innovate MTS: found 1 inputs. 53730 DEBUG [main] - Innovate MTS: InputNo: 00, InputName: MTX_L__O2, InputType: 1, DeviceName: MTX-L+, DeviceType: 6, DeviceChannel: 0, Units: AFR, Multiplier: 14.700000, MinValue: 7.350000, MaxValue: 22.388100 53862 INFO [main] - Plugin loaded: Innovate MTS v0.06 65279 TRACE [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Connect count [Innovate Wideband AFR]: 1 65279 INFO [Thread-8] - Innovate Wideband AFR: connecting... 65290 TRACE [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Connect count [Innovate MTS]: 1 65290 INFO [Thread-9] - Innovate MTS: connecting... 65292 DEBUG [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Adding logger: [X_Innovate_MTS_MTX-L+_CH0] Innovate MTS MTX-L+ CH0 65292 INFO [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Innovate Wideband AFR: disconnecting port COM8 65292 INFO [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Innovate Wideband AFR: disconnected 65297 INFO [Thread-8] - Connected to: COM8 65298 INFO [Thread-8] - Serial connection initialised: InnovateConnectionProperties[baudRate=19200, dataBits=8, stopBits=1, parity=0, connectTimeout=2000, sendTimeout=200] 65298 INFO [Thread-8] - Innovate Wideband AFR: connected. 65307 INFO [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Innovate MTS: disconnecting port 2 65307 INFO [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Innovate MTS: disconnected 65308 TRACE [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Connect count [Innovate Wideband AFR]: 1 65308 INFO [Thread-14] - Innovate Wideband AFR: connecting... 65309 DEBUG [AWT-EventQueue-0] - Adding logger: [X_Innovate_Wideband_AFR] Innovate Wideband AFR

Not that I know of unless the Innovate plugin was trying to connect also. I removed all the plugins except for the MTX one and had the same issue. I can do that again and take another log tomorrow.

This keeps repeating ... Have a look at these. I cleared the log and ran Logger on my way to work. The MTX data froze about 25 minutes into my drive.

I can't explain it, there are just no more entries in the log after this one: Code: 1453869 TRACE [Thread-15] - Innovate MTS input: 0, type: 1, function: 0, sample: 505, result: 14.773499 The error could be outside of the RR Logger, possibly in the Innovate library that reports the measurements to the logger. What datasource.pollmode are you set for in the "C:\...\RomRaider\plugins\lm2_mts.plugin" file?

What datasource.pollmode are you set for in the "C:\...\RomRaider\plugins\lm2_mts.plugin" file? Assuming I am looking at the correct thing. This is what I see when I open the plugin in Notepad++. datasource.class=com.romraider.logger.external.innovate.lm2.mts.plugin.Lm2MtsDataSource datasource.pollmode=true A side note, everything seems to be reliable through the Innovate software. Also the other Innovate WB plugin doesn't drop out using the same cable and sensor.

I suggest you use whichever plugin works best for you. It's hard to fix a problem when there's no indication of where the problem is.

Make sure your WBO2 ground is to the engine and not the chassis, make sure the laptop uses the same ground if powered from the car.

The computer is on battery power and the gauge is grounded by the dash fuse pannel. I guess I could run a wire back out to the block from the dash and try that.

But I finally got around to moving the ground. Also powering both gauges through a relay off the battery. Same result where everything was happy for a few miles then the data stream died.
