What do the naming prefixes "wv" and "bv" mean?
The only general pattern I can see (but there are plenty of exceptions) is "wv" is often used by more tables than its "v" identical twin and "bv" is possibly often single byte versions of words (but there are word "bv" values too?).
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

They probably don't mean much of anything? The patents only mention the abbreviation portion afterwards. So vTP is just "TP" in the patents. So v, wv, bv, etc are probably just created by the A2L software to just distinguish between RAM/ROM parameters and such. BUT, wv means it's a copy of the v variant. For example, vTP sets wvTP. Logging both shows no difference. I'm sure there are logical reasons for why Nissan uses many identical variables.
