Here, this might help.

This is how you can add "VE" to your existing logs based on IAT, MAP (psiG), RPM, and MAF g/s.

Image

Replace 14.35 with the absolute pressure you see in your area. This is for IAT in Celcius. You can replace the (D2 + 273.15) with ((5/9)*(D2-32)+273.15) for Fahrenheit.

Example spreadsheet.
http://freon.shackspace.com/car/ecu%20a ... _ve_01.xls" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is the best way to see your VE. You can add this to old logs, and just scroll through the log while working on your VE map and put the VE value in at the closest matching RPM and MAP point in the VE map.

If you can somehow go back and do some sort of bucket-ized pivot table on axes MAP and RPM with data VE you could "see" your VE as logged and almost copy/paste it into your map. It should work out almost perfectly this way. Ecuedit has a custom graph utility that does this for you (not adding VE to the CSV, that still takes Excel or adding the equation to a custom logger item, but it does the statistical averaging and bucket-izing), but you can probably do it in Excel somehow.

Could you share the spreadsheet? the link is off, thanks

Hello,

I'm new to the merpmod patching and SD. I have downloaded the sharptune and applied the patch on a stock ROM A8DH100F. When I try to open the file on ecuflash no matter which definition I choose it does not open. If i try to open a ROM without the patch it opens with no issues. I'm Uploading the Roms and definitions. Maybe someone could help.

It has been years since I last did this so what I recall may be incomplete. From what I recall, you have to include the MerpMod folder in the rommetadata folder. The MerMod folder contains definitions for the Gratis and Flash versions.

Attached is a screenshot of what my MerpMod folder contains.

Unfortunately I did not manage to open the patched rom.

I'm uploading a stock rom for my ecu and the definition maybe someone can patch it correctly and create the correct definitions which is something I cannot do.

Apparently the patching on sharptune program is successful but I cannot open the file whether I point the ecuflash on the merpmod definition folder and select the def manually or point it to the stock def folder.

I was able to patch and open the stock .bin file.

When you opened the stock .bin in SharpTune, did you click on the Mods tab, choose Apply, then click on the Apply Mod button on the right? After that you have to Save it. I have a feeling your bin file was not patched properly.

Attached is your bin file that I patched.

I'm posting my results after trying to open the files attached.

obviously I'm not doing something correctly.

Do I have to modify or combine the definitions the stock A8DH100F with the merpmod A8DH100F to make it work?

I checked my EcuFlash. It was pointed to the rommetadata folder. Your points to the subaru folder so it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm looking your logs after loading, but the lower part is chopped. Attached is what mine looks like. Try to see if you have the same lines as the ones encircled.

Can you send me the your rommedata folder as you have it currently?
