Car- 2004 Subaru WRX Wagon M/T
Logging Device- Toshiba Satellite 2 in 1 laptop/tablet
Software- Windows 10 (brand new laptop JUST for datalogging and tuning) Running Java Version 8 Update 60, RR Version 0.5.9
I install RR/EcuFlash etc... I follow the instructions VERY carefully from here
http://www.romraider.com/Documentation/ ... rFAQ#toc17I opened RR ECU Editor and successfully put the ECU Editor Definitions in its own ECU Editor Def's Folder under my Documents Folder making sure to NOT put it under the Program Files Folder like the instructions say. I downloaded and unzipped the logger_v310 files from
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1642into its own Logger Def's Folder under my Documents Folder (see screenshot attached for all contents of this folder), also in said folder I put the 2 Cars Definition Files the FAQ link above stated to.
When I open RR Logger a box comes up before it launches and says "Logger definition not configured." Next box says "The Logger definition file needs to be configured before connecting to the ECU. Menu: Settings > Logger Definition Location... Once Configured, restart the Logger application." I click ok it opens RR Logger. I continue to go under Settings and click "Logger Definition Location" which opens a box to find and choose the file to select for the Logger Definition, so I go to my Logger Def's Folder under my Documents Folder and find the unzipped xml files and select "logger_STD_EN_v310" since I am want Standard and US measurements. I click open and the same box that popped up when I first opened RR Logger, pops up again saying "Logger definition not configured".....
WTF am I doing wrong, why wont the definition "configure"? closing and re opening RR Logger does not fix this box popping up.
After I click ok and get back to RR Logger the bottom of RR has an "Error: Logger definition file not found" in red.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything I need to do TEXTBOOK step by step and it does not work for me. I have tried to include all information I could. Didn't include any cable type information or anything since that has nothing to do with logger definitions being a bastard step child. I can by no means write codes for computers but I feel like I'm decently able to follow the lovely step by step instructions provided by the wonderful people who so graciously keep putting effort and work into this website and all of its belongings. If anyone needs screenshots of anything else I will gladly attach them if it helps you help me
