I a noob with computers, please help me! I am going to lose my mind over this.
2004 JDM Legacy GT-B MT
Trying to log pulls due to a intermittent power loss issue.
Windows 10
lenvo ultrabook
ROMRAIDER 0.7.2.952
Java 8.0.3010.9
VAGCOM KKL CH340 serial-usb cable
driver provider wch.cn
driver version 3.5.2019.1
I have also tried FreeSSM but no luck connecting. (when testing interference with this program is passed the test...)
When I open rom-raider no messages appear. When I open logger it just says connecting, then "unable to send ECU init"
I have tried changing my bits per second in the driver from 9600 to 4600, did not work.
-My ignition it ON, with car running does not work either.
-Tried disconnecting / connecting while in logger, still not working,
-I have tried wiggling my vag com cable, still not working.
-I have the following files installed with romraider...
.installationinformation
cars_def.dtd
cars_def
ecu_defs.dtd
ecu_defs
license
log4j.properties
logger.dtd
logger
profile.dtd
release notes
romraider
java romraider
my only thought is that the ECU def for my car is not in there ? any help is appreciated!
Thank you <3

I've pulled logs on my Rev A 2.0GT (not spec.b but that shouldn't matter, same car) with that same setup.. w10, java 8 etc..

the defs for the logger tab exist, afaik not for dynoing.

I did not install the ch340 driver from the cd included wit the cable, the windows included driver was good enough. does the led light on the cable come on? is java the 32 bit variety?
