As stated, Antilag isnt building boost off throttle. It sounds more like a (faint) pop and bang tune. My question is what variables should i adjust to make it more effective? Thanks in advance, any advice helps. ps. wish their was a guide for this somewhere!

you need air and fuel in a motor to get combustion to be able to build boost. just retarding timing for example wont build boost. what rpm are you sitting on.

the form of antilag available isn't necessarily going to "build boost" but rather, increase manifold pressure by reducing pumping losses, and encourage the turbo to spin faster with increased exhaust temp/pressure.

generally it is used to have a higher MAP than normal operation when shifting between gears. generally the usage includes or is primarily desired to also include extra noise, although, this doesn't have to be the case.

if you want more of an effect, set throttle kick by adjusting base TPS voltage to more than 0.6v. I recommend 0.74v. With vehicle off power to ecu on in accessory, logger connected, check TPS volts.

Normal operation is 0.52 to 0.54v. above 0.6v, built in rotational idle is active.

set throttle volts, and then reset ecu. now the vehicle will see current throttle volts as base volts. the ecu registers any lower value as new base tps volts, so if you reduce the throttle kick to normal base volts, the ecu will adjust. to get back to throttle kick settings, readjust kick and reset ecu.

you may use the throttle stop set screw/nut at the front of the throttle linkage on the throttle body.

Have anyone figured a way to set a switchable throttle kick? Like if you use a solenoid type of kick rather than a screw/nut which can be switched on/off, so we would need to switch the kick on/off without having to reset the ECU every time the throttle is kicked open.

Foxbat,

Tried this in the last hour:

Grabbed the LTV, switched off all circuits.

Disconnected the battery for 10 secs or so.

Reconnected battery, then grabbed the second LTV.

Give it a go..
