Hello all !

I hope you guys can shed some light on my situation.
I'm currently trying to pull my factory map off my USDM 2003 WRX using ECUFlash. After plugging in the test connectors and the supplied "flash block" from tactrix alongside a brand new Openport 2.0, after countless tries of messing with the timing of pressing the "OK" prompt and turning the key to ON,
I continue to get an error message reading:
"An error occurred. See the log for details."
The Log says:

"[06:15:38.468] using metadata XML ID read_wrx02 from file C:/Users/antho/OneDrive/Desktop/EcuFlash/rommetadata (new)/rommetadata (new)/read templates/read_wrx02.xml
[06:15:38.488] J2534 API Version: 04.04
[06:15:38.488] J2534 DLL Version: 1.02.4870 Feb 3 2017 23:36:31
[06:15:38.488] Device Firmware Version: 1.17.4877
[06:15:38.488] Device Serial Number: TAOj4b8k
[06:15:41.329] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[06:15:42.591] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[06:15:43.841] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[06:15:45.091] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[06:15:46.340] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[06:15:46.762] kernel get version
[06:15:47.074] interface close
[06:15:47.074] interface close"

No matter if I turn the key and press OK at the same time, this message still comes up. (It even pops up when the car isn't even connected at all)

So basically,
-Green test connectors and "flash block" are plugged in under dash
-RomRaider opens and connects to the car, I'm able to see parameters
-Car keeps going into test mode when the key is turned to ON
-Brand new Openport 2.0, even tested with a confirmed working cable
-Brand new laptop with literally nothing on it but RR, EcuF and Chrome

I just hope I can get this sorted asap. I apologize in advance if it's something super minor that I missed.
Thank you everybody for your help :)
