Apologies if this is in the wrong sub.

After reading my ecu in ecuflash i get an error that says:

"Warning this rom has all checksum features turned off! (romraider?)"

I can't change any of the values I'm guessing due to this error.

I've downloaded a stock ecu rom map from this site. When i load it into ecuflash i get the exact same error.

Ive tried uninstalling/reinstalling multiple times. Tried installing the drivers alone before installing ecuflash as well.

I was successfully able to flash using a tactrix cable and ecuflash (on a different pc) maybe 6 years ago.

Car is an 05 sti usdm.

Thanks!

In the old days RomRaider used to disable the checksums. Now it will calculate the correct values and apply them when saving. EcuFlash is just telling you that they are disabled. Checksums have no affect on ROM editing.
The stock ROM on this site may not be stock.

Thanks for the reply.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I'm getting a checksums are disabled message in RomRaider as well.

The Cal ID is: A2ZJB11J.

I downloaded that CAL ID from here viewtopic.php?f=35&t=7591 and get no such warning from the latest versions of EcuFlash or RomRaider.

The ROM still has the checksum range enabled and if I change something and save the ROM the checksum updates as expected.
