PLEASE HELP ecu def not found and i cant get looger to com

i have been looking and looking and trying to figure this out and i just cant get it. no mattter what bin i use i get ecu def not found. and i have the latest version from the website and i have the right java. i finally got logger to work but it wont connect to my crosstrek please help i have no idea how to fix this

What CAL ID are you trying to open?
Can you send the rr_system.log?

I'm not sure what you are doing in that log. Please follow the instructions, delete the file first before starting the logger. Shut it down and send the log.

Are you trying to log via k-line or CAN?

i was trying either one nothing worked. btw in device manager on that one page talks about driver interface com port something like that i have never seen my pc say that

You have a number of errors.
Looks like this is from a bad ECU definition.

It appears you have a logger file set as a ECU definition.

COM11 is getting no reply on K-line and is actually sending a CAN init string to start comms.

If you select CAN as the logging protocol you need to use a J2534 cable (such as a Tactrix OpenPort 2).

I suggestion to delete the settings.xml file and reselect your ECU definition files in the Editor Definition Manager, then select your Logger definition in the Logger Settings menu.

For CAN logging use a J2534 cable (which has not COM port association at all).
If K-line logging, you need to select that in the Protocol options and then use the correct COM port for your cable.

i did all that and after i try to run the crosstrek file and it still says ecu dif not found please select one and u use the same one ecu_def.xml and it says the ecudef doesnt match do you want to run anyway and it say the first rom in def will be chosen and the tab comes up red with nothing under it

Im erasing everything off my computer full reset and try again

Reinstall is not required.

If you are using the Tactrix Openport 2.0 make sure that EcuFlash is installed first and the Tactrix supplied driver is installed for the cable.

Move your definitions files (ECU, logger and cars_def) into a common folder in your personal directory.

- Delete the settings.xml file
- Open RomRaider Editor, open the Definition Manager and add your EP5L000A definition file from your personal directory (you can now open and edit the ROM)
- Open RomRaider Logger, under settings
- Select the location of the Logger definition file from your personal directory, logger_STD_EN_v370.xml
- Select the location to save your log files, in a personal directory
- Select the Logging Protocol, k-line if you are using a VAG-COM KKL cable or CANbus if your are using a J2534 cable (such as the Tactrix Openport 2.0)

I did all that and this happened

And the cable i got in the openport 2.0 box

This is everything i did like u said and what i saw in order ok if wont let me pit the logger part and i think one or two more i did everything u said and this is what happened when i tired to run the crosstrek file

Using the posted definition for EP5L000A and the stock ROM I can open it without any checksum error. So I don't now why you get that message.

Make sure to added the RR_EP5L000A.xml to the Editor Definition Manager first, that way you don't have to select it each time you open the ROM file.

You installed EcuFlash and the Tactrix Openport 2.0 driver?
Send a new rr_system.log while trying to connect to the ECU.
