updating this post in case anyone needs this information in the future. I removed the files to save space on the server. also, they were not stock, so this thread was not an appropriate place for them anyway. I ended up flashing the full bin that i pulled from my car using MS41 Quickflash v2.5. I then turned the key off to reset the dme. Next i flashed the partial that i pulled from my car using MS41 Quickflash v2.5. i did delete ews before flashing the partial. car started up and ran just like normal first try. i flashed both files also using MS41 Quickflash v2.5 with quick write disabled, and also patch ews disabled. hope this helps someone else somewhere down the road.

Hello all!
I hope this finds you well, and i want to thank you up front all for your contributions to the rom raider forum.
i have a question about the 323is full dump [Enabled] posted on page 3 of this thread.
when i open it up in Rom Raider, i get an error "ECU Definition Not Found".
I get this same error with the full read that i pulled from my own 323is using Siemens MS41 Flash Tool_105b.
im using the 0.45.9 definitions from this thread.
https://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtop ... 58&t=10695here is the weird part. i did a full read using MS41 Quickflash v2.5, and I am able to open that backup in Rom Raider.
Now for the part that has me super concerned. I'm currently in the process of trying to help a friend with his 323is who bricked his DME. He backed up a full read from his car using MS41 Quickflash v2.5. He also backed up a partial. He then made some changes using partial flashes, and ended up in a state where the car wouldn't start. He then tried to flash the full read he backed up using MS41 Quickflash v2.5. it flashed as expected and everything seemed normal till he turned off the ignition, and turned it back on. after this, he was unable to connect to the DME, and has a relay that clicks a bunch in the engine bay. i saw the clicking relay thing in a couple other threads that lead me to believe that he is bricked.
I compared both his full read and partial to mine that i pulled with MS41 Quickflash v2.5, and they are identical aside from a few expected things i changed on my car with partial flashes.
I picked up a ms41.1 dme from a local junkyard 1996 325is. My plan is to flash it for his car, but im really not sure which backup to flash to it or which tool i should use.
I have my full backup i pulled with Siemens MS41 Flash Tool_105b along with [Enabled]'s neither of which open in rom raider (which scares me a bit).
I also have my full backup i pulled with MS41 Quickflash v2.5 along with my friends backup which show as identical in rom raider, but im kinda scared to flash either of these, since his backup is what bricked his dme in the first place.
I've attached each of these backups as clearly labeled as i could. [Enabled]'s backup is on page 3 of this thread for comparison. I guess im wondering if there is some sort of problem with current rom raider definitions for 323is backups pulled using the siemens flash tool? it seems like flash tool is viewed as being deprecated on this forum even though it was just updated 6 months ago or so.
https://www.ms4x.net/index.php?title=Fi ... v1.05d.rarI've done a bunch of partial flashes on my car to change various things, but never had the need to do a full flash until now. I also assume i need to do a full flash since im putting a 325 dme into a 323.
I also assume putting this dme in my car to flash it will misalign my dme and ews. should i go ahead and do a ews delete on my dme before even putting the other dme in to flash it?
Im super sorry for the wall of text, and all the questions, but the last thing i want to do is brick another dme using the stock rom listed in this thread, so im looking to you all for advice.
