Excellent, great work MiikaS!

It would be good if we can get this post marked as a 'sticky' so folks can easily find these open source flashing tools. Not sure how we do that.

This should now work as expected. Port selection still not at use. When selecting bootloader connection under 'bootloaders' it will automatically change right mcu to device selection, otherwise right mcu must be selected if restarting software and kernel still running. With 16-bit ECUs, only Dump ROM is/should be working, no write or compare because it was just testing with OpenECU kernel. Other disabled ECUs will also not working and no plans to add those to this as this software was only made for JDM Forester XT/CS testing.

So first, under 'bootloaders' select 'Subaru 02 32-bit' to connect JDM Forester XT/CS bootloader and it will automatically upload kernel. If kernel upload is succesful, then just select Dump ROM, Compare ROM, Test write ROM or Write ROM.

Any problems, just send message to me.

Windows 7, 32-bit version
Windows 7, 64-bit version
Linux 64-bit version

Linux version needs atleast Qt 5.12.8 version installed (with QtSerialPort).

And as obvious, there is no guarantee in this software, use it at your own risk. I am not responsibility in any way of bricking your ECU or damaging your car :)

MiikaS it seems, that you forgot to update a kernel in the build for Win64.
Friend has tested it today, there was kernel from 16 aug)) After updating to a new one, writing was fine.

Developing my new flashing software and need confirmation if someone has flashed SH7055 with sti04 method on bench? I have JDM Legacy GT ECU with SH7055 and tried with four different ROMs but always failed in sid34 command. Also ECUFlash and ecuEdit fails to flash on bench. Power connections are IGN, CTRL POWER and BACKUP power, and GNDs related with those and TEST MODE grounded. Are there other connections that needs to be connected?

Thanks, checked wires again with fresh eyes, test mode was 1 pad off :D Now it's working so I can continue with code to upload kernel to ecu 8) I have now op2 and generic obd working in both win and linux, will add JDM Forester and 16bit flashmethods too after this is working, maybe then it's time to put out first test version.

Per request from MiikaS, there is now both 180nm and 350nm 7055 FXT kernels in the ssm_test repo, under pre-compiled folder: https://github.com/rimwall/npkern/tree/ssm_test/precompiled

Have been little busy lately, but slowly progressing.

Working on logging now and need to test fxt02/sti04 flash methods to confirm they still work on all versions. sti05 method I'm unable to test right now, but it should work as it uses only different RAM address and kernel than sti04. I have the code now on github and I will make it public as soon as I get logging working so it is usable and flash methods tested.

Anybody know what the issue is?

I'm trying to use nisprog on my thinkpad running Linux, can connect and run kernel but upon trying to do a test dump, I get the following:

Code:
nisprog> dm TestDump.bin 0 0
npk dump @ 0x00000000,     1 B/s, 4340 s remaining   no / incomplete / bad response
0x21 0xFD 0x00 0x00 0x08 0xDC 0xFF 0xFF 0xDF 0xA0 0x00 0x00 0x08 0xDC 0xFF 0xFF 0xDF 0xA0 0x00 0x00 0x08 0xD8 0x00
rxrawdump failed
free(): double free detected in tcache 2
Aborted
