Helllo everyone,

I just got my hands on the Custom MS41.3 Code. Thanks to mrf582  . For the moment I just want to play with it and make a good N/A tune. Maybe later I'll go ahead and install a TS SC on my E36. The first thing I did was to ignore the 4th Commandment and just flash it to my ECU. It started, but then stalled as soon as the O2 kicked in. Then I got a good and deserved smack from Abhishek for ignoring it. So I'm currently doing some interpolation and trying to get a map with more resolution and a bit extended load with the help of a couple of self made Python Scripts. So far so good. I just need to try them on my car as soon as the sun rises again and report back :)

I created this post to post any updates on my journey to MS41.3... Cheers!!!

First question:

On the MAF MAP there's a warning about the 2048KG/H. But this setting is not present on the 24KB file. Is there any problem if my base file had this setting enabled? (The MAF HACK 2048KG). See the attached image. Thanks in advance :D

I also attached my interpolated FI and IGN MAPs.

Edit: I tested it today, so far so good. It's working properly with the interpolated tables and the correct MAF scalar. I still need to tune the Fuel and Ignition better. But it's working pretty well. I noticed that the CE light does work, blinking when it sees any knock or under other circumstances. :)

Yeah good question. My patching software which upgrades to MS41.3 tries to undo any hacks you may have done before with regards to 2048 mode. Sorry, this is just an artifact from having to support hacked firmware in the past before MS41.3 was ready.

Basically, MS41.3 runs in the default MAF mode and this not adjustable. I have created additional code to handle the higher limits without having to do any hacks.

Perfect, that explain why my car ran great once I fixed all my FUEL, IGN and MAF tables. For now my question is... For the CEL, is it neccesary to leave the knock parameter at zero? Or, would it be better to put just 1? or something like that to avoid false warnings, when the knocking is minimal.

Thank you very much for the support, so far this is just getting more and more interesting.

Yeah, I set my Knock flash threshold to -2.5 I think, so one knock event doesn't trigger the CEL. It will take two or more.

Glad you're enjoying all the neat features of MS41.3 :)

Thank you very much  ,

Today I finally intalled the WBO2, I have to say it works really well and triggers faster than the original Narrowband. I will tune fuel after this, for the moment I just want to advice any new MS41.3 user, that it is neccesary to disable DTC 25 and DTC 75 from the Oxygen sensor configuration. As I got both DTC's when using narrowband emulation. Now is working great though

I'll keep posting any updates as far as I do them.

Not full closed loop yet. I'm still experimenting with settings.

I forgot to say that I'm using a Spartan 2 LC. My only concern here is that I changed the scale from 9.7 ~ 19.9 (0 - 5V), to 10 ~ 20. As the specs from this LC say 0V is .68 lambda and 5V is 1.36 (10 ~ 20 AFR).

Edit: How do you disable open loop enrichment, if the top value is 1389 rather than the 5556? :?:

Have you succeeded with editing the AFR - voltages . I'm using a aem uego 30-300 and can't seem to match the AFR readouts on the gauge to that of the AFR on RR . Even scaling the voltages to what AEM recommends in RR .

If you don't update the Logger definitions to reflect the calculations for your WBO2 they will never match....
